Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at the cottage doing a very big project.  We put cabinets and flooring in the new kitchen and painted the kitchen and playroom.  It was a working weekend with a little fun mixed in. We had some time for a boat ride.

 

 

 

 

 Little helpers need ear protection too.

 

 The kids were entertained with a summer snowball fight.

 

 

 And some fun on the swing set.

 

 

 

 And some rock skipping. Brecken thought this was just the best thing ever.

 

 

  We had a few tired kiddos and a beat dog.  Ellie tried to steal a better seat on the way home.

And then she decided on this seat.

 And then moved to this seat.  It was a quiet trip home.

Mackston's 1st Birthday

My baby boy is 1.  I can hardly handle the fact that he is growing so darn fast, but he is. We spent the majority of his birthday in the car, and he slept most of that time.

Since we were gone all day, we had to do the traditional birthday pancakes for dinner.  This boy didn't care, he loves his pancakes any time of the day.

 Chesney is crazy about Mackston, and he feels the same way.

 Grandpa and Grandma stopped with a gift.

 

 

 

And Grampy and Grammy sent a sweet book in the mail.

We will celebrate with a birthday party in late June.  Happy 1st birthday Mackston.  We love you so very much!

May Update

May was a busy month.  Summer is coming quick, and we are pretty excited about it.

 Chesney and Daddy made a little play stand out of a box.

 New spiky haircut.

 Play dough fun with this little dude.

 Two little boys who love to go for walks.

 Chesney had an end of the year Girl Scout party at the park.

 This little guy was loving the digger at the park.

 

 Summer is also a great time for baseball.

 

 A night time bike ride is always better when there are diggers to watch.

 

 The neighbors invited us over for some slip and slide fun.

 

 And then we went back for our own slip and slide fun.

 Brecken loves to sing at the top of his lungs while on the swing.

 And of course we hit the pool.
