Mackston {14 Months Old}

For the past 14 months we have been blessed with little Mackston.  He is such a happy guy.  He is constantly moving and getting into stuff.

Here's a peek at his last month:
Playing at the park.
Fishing at the cottage.
Driving the boat.
Hanging out on the lake.
Summer fun with cousins.
Walks to the park.
Giggles in the water.
 Holding sparklers.
Cottage fun with the family.

Your 14 month stats:
  • Weight:  23 pounds
  • Length: 31.75 inches(96 percentile)
  • Clothes: You are wearing 12-18 month clothes and 18 month pjs.
  • Shoes: You wear size 4-5 shoes
  • Diapers: You wear cloth diapers day and night.
  • Food: Mommy milk, water.  You are still an eating machine.  You love yogurt, meat, pancakes, strawberries and watermelon.
  • Development: You have started to go down the stairs feet first on your belly.  You run everywhere. You love to pretend to drive. You give hugs and kisses.
  • Words: Dada, Mama, hot, hat, moo, baa, hello
  • Teeth: You have 11 teeth. Your left upper first molar came in on July 22 and the right upper first molar on July 29.
  • Sleep:  You go to bed around 8 pm and sleep until I wake you up to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  On the days I'm off, you sleep until 8:30 or 9.  You usually take one 2 hour nap daily in the afternoon.
  • What I love about you: You have been giving hugs and kisses which just turns me to mush.  Your kisses are extra sloppy, and it doesn't bother me one bit. You are full of giggles and smiles and a lot of squeals.

Happy 14 months little guy.  We love you so much!

Giddy Up

Chesney got to try something a little different today, horseback riding.  She has been asking to ride a horse for quite a while, so we finally got her to a farm to ride.

After riding lessons she was able to groom and feed the horse.

And Brecken was brave enough to feed the horse too.
She loved her lesson and can't wait to go back for another one.

Hot Days

Summer is heating up which means we have been spending a lot of time in the pool.

Taking bike rides to the park.

And eating sweet corn. Mackston is loving corn on the cob.
And we went to a graduation party last weekend. These 4 kiddos have so much fun together. They played for hours, wading in the creek, picking raspberries, and climbing into the tree house.

A cute group of fans for the Kubb game.

Cottage - July 2016

We spent a week at the cottage in Upper Michigan for the 4th. Brecken & Ryan loved hanging out in the kayaks and boats.

Daddy had a lot of fun swimming with his GoPro camera.
 Boat ride powered by Daddy.
Uncle Jeremy was the seaweed monster.
 Lots of kayak rides.

We spent a lot of time on the boat.

The kid's caught some fish.

And Mackston spent a lot of time driving the boat.  He was making all kinds of driving noises.

Chesney, Allie and Ryan were all about being pulled in the tube this year.

On the 4th we participated in the boat parade. It's a good thing there isn't a contest for the best boat because this guy would have won us first prize.

The kids threw candy to the people swimming at the beach.

The 2016 4th of July kids crew!
Steak dinner for the 4th.
We took a walk to the park and beach for a picnic and swimming.
 Mackston enjoyed the ride.
The kid's ate a quick lunch, and then it was off to the beach.

Mackston was ready for some water fun too.

Mackston's face says it all.  He was thrilled to be in the water.

Full belly giggles from this guy.
7 kiddos had a lot of fun that day.
 Snacks on the pontoon boat.

Followed by dancing on the cooler.

The kids loved doing sparklers and watching Grandpa light off fireworks.

And we had to stop for ice cream.

The kids were excited to cook over the fire.

 Love Mackston's little curls.

The guys went on a kayak trip down the river, and the kids were excited to cheer them on as they came back.
And we got some family pictures.

 Goofy pictures are always fun.

The cottage trip was lots of  fun.  As the kids get older, they are having even more fun with each other. And it's even more fun to watch them playing together.
