Happy Halloween

We have had a wonderful time preparing for and celebrating Halloween.  Brecken loved the orange lights on the tree in front of the house.  Just wait until he sees all the Christmas lights!
 We made some creepy treats.
Chesney helped pack special treat bags for some Halloween VIPs.  Then she filled the candy bowl.
Brecken played in the candy box while Chesney was hard at work.

Chesney painted her pumpkin.  She love, love, loved this!
And we made special Halloween cards for the grandparents.

Last night we carved a pumpkin.  Chesney cleaned the pumpkin out while Brecken had a snack.

Then we put Daddy to work.

Of course Chesney wanted a princess on her pumpkin.
 Cinderella turned out quite well.

Halloween morning we started with pumpkin pancakes. Chesney triple loves holiday themed foods.
Brecken had fun pushing a little ladder around with Chesney's pumpkin on top.

We ended up with Tangled and Trapped for Halloween costumes.  Brecken was a little mouse in a trap and Chesney was Princess Rapunzel.
We snapped a quick picture before we went out.
It was a rainy night for trick or treating but the kids had fun.  We only went to a few houses, but Chesney said she had enough candy and was ready to go back.  She spent the rest of the night handing out candy which she loved.
 Happy Halloween!

Brecken {41 Weeks Old}

Brecken has hit the 41 week mark and developed his first ear infection today.  He has had a cold for a week, and he just seemed to feel worse last night and today.  Hopefully he is feeling better by Halloween.

Poor little snuggle bug did his best to keep moving today.  He played pretty hard for not feeling well.
Happy 41 weeks Brecken.  Love you to pieces.

Then and Now

March 2011, a sweet little girl was doing this...
And now these barstools have a new boss.

We've Never Had

We've never had this...

 Or this...
 Or this...
 Until we had him.
And now we have all of this.

Boys sure are different than girls.  And we are so thankful that we have had the joy of experiencing both! (Just don't be surprised if it looks like we reuse our toilet paper if you come to visit.  We just put it back on the roll a few times a day.)

Disney: Part 3

Day 5
On the 5th day of vacay, we went to Hollywood Studios to catch some of the Disney Jr characters. We started at the stage show which featured Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Doc McStuffins.
Chesney loved it just as much as she did last year. Brecken would watch bits and pieces but since you sit on the floor, he just wanted to crawl.

She caught some gold doubloons from the Jake and the Neverland Pirates show.
After the show, we met Sofia the First.  She liked Chesney's Tangled doll.

Brecken got a new goofy animal.  He loved chewing on his ears and snuggling with him.
We went on a few rides (Little Mermaid and The Muppets) and then headed back to the hotel.
Someone had been noticing how the princesses hold their dresses up so she decided she had to walk to hold her dress up like a princess. (Princesses don't ride in strollers).
We played in the pools for a while at the hotel.

Chesney had fun swimming with her Ariel doll.  So much fun that she broke her tail fin off.

These two are such good buddies.
We did go back to the Magic Kingdom later that night for a little treat.
Chesney got a Mickey Mouse cake pop and Mommy and Daddy shared the giant Mickey shaped chocolate chip cookie.
We ate our snacks while we watched a parade.

The Rapunzel line happened to be short so we ran in for another visit with Chesney's favorite princess.  The waiting area has pictures of all the princesses.
 And Cinderella's glass slipper.
This time she had her autograph book and was able to get Tangled to sign it.

Tangled asked Chesney if she could go Trick or Treating with her.
The Tangled doll was a hit with all the princesses.

Brecken got to go on his first carousel ride.  He loved it!
We had to snap a picture of Chesney in front of the Tangled tower.
We did catch a little of the electrical parade before retiring for the night.

Day 6
Our last day!  Of course we spent it at the Magic Kingdom.  The park opened early that day, so we could get on pretty much any ride without waiting.  We went on Winnie the Pooh (2 times), Dumbo, the Goofy rollercoaster (twice) and the Little Mermaid ride.  And right as the park opened to the general public, we went to the Belle show yet again.
Then we were able to meet Princess Tiana.
We ate lunch at the Be Our Guest restaurant and then headed back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation by the pool.  The main pool is below.

This is the second pool with a water slide and waterfall.  And the 3rd pool is the one in the pictures from yesterday (that's the kiddie pool).  All three pools are zero depth and are wonderful for families with little kids.  Brecken could crawl in all the pools.
We went back to the Magic Kingdom after the kiddos napped.  We met Ariel again.  Chesney told her that she has to brush Tangled's hair a lot.  Ariel suggested she use a dingle-hopper.  So cute!

And one last time, we hit the Belle show.  I feel like a broken record.  Daddy got picked to play the role of the guard this time.

See the strong and handsome looking guard with the purse, man bag, camera bag.

I'm pretty sure that made his day.
We spent the rest of the day hitting a few sites and shops before heading out.

Day 7
I have no pictures of day 7 but that was leaving day.  We were at the hotel all morning, so we swam most of the morning before catching a bus back to the airport.  The plane ride home was eventful until Brecken fell asleep.  Up until that point, he did chin ups on the back of the seat and waved at people.  I'm sure people were less than impressed, but he was busy so I didn't feel like I was wrestling a steer.  And Chesney used the bathroom on the plane at least 3 times. Nothing is more fun than squeezing into a tiny bathroom on a plane with your 3 year old who insists on touching everything.  We had an amazing trip, but we are so excited to be back home.
