Mow Town

It's that time of year again, lawn mowing.  And there is one excited little man about it.
He has been asking to mow for weeks but was excited this week for the first mow of the season.  And he had to have his earmuffs on too.

He followed Daddy almost the entire time.  And if a neighbor mows, Brecken runs to get his mower as well.  It's going to be a great summer for this little guy.

Baby #3 Bumpdate {34 Weeks}

34 weeks...this is crazy.  Where has this pregnancy gone!?! I guess it's time to get clothes washed and things ready for this little guy.

34 Weeks Pregnant
  • How far along: 34 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures over 18 inches— about the size of a cantaloupe and weighs about 4.75 pounds.
  • Maternity Clothes: I have switched over to maxi dresses and skirts which are so comfortable.
  • Gender: Boy
  • Sleep: Sleeping has become more difficult.Tossing and turning like crazy.
  • Cravings: Fruit, peanut butter, water. So thankful to have my sense of taste back!
  • Anything making you queasy or sick? Not at this time.
  • Best moment this week: Baby's bedding has arrived and the room plan is in order.  Time to get painting and get baby stuff ready.
  • What I miss most: A good night's sleep.
  • Symptoms: Some Braxton hicks and lower leg cramps.
  • What I'm looking forward to: So excited to open the car seat and just stare at it (I'm dorky like that).
  • Movement: He moves a lot and sometimes the movements are not the most comfortable.  He sits on my left side so I feel pains in my left hip often.

Baby #3 Bumpdate {33 Weeks}

I can hardly believe we are at the 33 week mark.  Less than 7 weeks and we will have a new baby in our house.  I missed last weeks post because life was busy, and I had the worst sinus pain.  I couldn't taste food for 7 days.  I'm telling you, eating is just no fun when you can't taste food.  Thankfully after 3 weeks of this congestion and drainage, the congestion is starting to go away.  I was too beat to even work on anything baby related last week but this week was a whole new ball game.  I'm telling you, we have made some major progress (including deciding on a name for baby).  Apparently I do have the ability to make decisions (I was so indecisive for so long).
32 weeks pregnant and a sinus infection was kicking my rump.
33 Weeks Pregnant
  • How far along: 33 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures over 17 inches— about the size of a pineapple and weighs about 4 pounds.
  • Maternity Clothes: I have switched over to maxi dresses and skirts which are so comfortable.
  • Gender: Boy
  • Sleep: Sleeping has become more difficult.  If I wake up in the night, I toss and turn to find a comfortable spot.
  • Cravings: Fruit, peanut butter, water. So thankful to have my sense of taste back!
  • Anything making you queasy or sick? I had a week of relief from the sensitivity of smell (with my sinus infection).  Smells don't seem to be as bothersome now.
  • Best moment this week: Feeling better and making lots of progress on baby stuff. Baby has a car seat now and the room decor has been finalized.
  • What I miss most: A good night's sleep.
  • Symptoms: Some Braxton hicks and lower leg cramps.
  • What I'm looking forward to: Painting the babies room (we have decided to put the baby in Chesney's old room...final decision) and organizing his stuff.
  • Movement: He moves a lot and sometimes the movements are not the most comfortable.

Happy Easter

We have had a wonderful Easter weekend. We started the weekend with a visit to the Easter Bunny on Saturday.  We then played at home for the afternoon and watched the Wisconsin Badgers kick some rump in basketball at night.
I grabbed a picture of their baskets the night before because I knew Easter morning they would be digging into them.
Chesney woke up first and found all the eggs in her room while we waited for Brecken to wake up.  And she told us that she had seen the Easter bunny in the night.
We woke Brecken up a little after 7, and he found the eggs in his room with Chesney's help.

Brecken had to stop for a little snack before moving on.
And then they were off to find the eggs in the rest of the house.

Chensey found her Easter basket in the kitchen and Brecken's under the computer desk.

While the kid's emptied eggs and played with their goodies, we made bunny pancakes for breakfast.

Brecken was tired out after breakfast and needed a quick nap before church.
There was an Easter egg hunt after the church service.
The kid's loved seeing the bunny and then went out to find some eggs.

It was a very fun morning.
After Brecken's nap, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for more Easter fun.
The kids had lots of fun searching for eggs in the backyard.

After the egg hunt, Brecken and Ryan played some golf.  Future Swani partners.
We had a delicious ham dinner followed by Easter baskets for the kids.
That's a great looking group of kiddos.  And yes, they are spoiled by their grandma and grandpa.

We had a wonderful Easter!  Happy Easter!

Baby #3 Bumpdate {31 Weeks}

Well I was once again measuring small at my OB appointment this week, so I was scheduled for a fetal growth ultrasound.  I continue to measure at 26 weeks and have for the past few weeks.  My OB did a quick ultrasound in the room to ensure there was enough amniotic fluid for the little guy and then scheduled me for a growth ultrasound.  At the growth ultrasound, baby boy is measuring right on at 31 weeks.  And the ultrasound tech told me that she thinks he is going to have hair.  Oh I just can't wait to see this little guy.  He is however following in his brother's footsteps and is breech.  I hope he makes a quick flip here in the near future.

31 Weeks Pregnant
  • How far along: 31 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures over 16 inches— about the size of a coconut and weighs about 3.5 pounds.
  • Maternity Clothes: I have switched over to maxi dresses and skirts which are so comfortable.
  • Gender: Boy
  • Sleep: Sleeping has become more difficult.  I wake up a few times to use the bathroom and a couple times just because baby thinks I need to I guess.
  • Cravings: Fruit, peanut butter, water. Still eating peanut butter like crazy.
  • Anything making you queasy or sick? I still can't handle strong smells. Most soaps and lotions are nauseating. Old Spice is the worst.
  • Best moment this week: Seeing baby on ultrasound and knowing that he is growing just fine!
  • What I miss most: A good night's sleep.
  • Symptoms: Sensitivity to smell, occasional back/left hip pains.
  • What I'm looking forward to: Figuring out a name for this baby and getting his clothes organized.
  • Movement: He moves a lot but clearly needs to do a big flip to get in the right position.

Get Into It

Sometimes your meal is so good that you have to put your foot on the table to eat.

 This boy, he is awesome!

Mixed Weather

The weather here has been back and forth over the past couple weeks. We started early March with snow.  But that didn't stop Brecken from playing golf.
And this is called baseball golf.
He loves shoveling snow, so he was a happy camper.

Then the weather turned nice and we were able to go on our first bike ride to the park.

And then we got this again.  And the only person happy about it is pictured below.  He was happy to pull out his boots and shovel.
Thankfully it is almost melted again. Brecken just may have to retired the shovel for a while.
