Mackston {15 Months Old}

Our little Mac is 15 months old already.

Here is what you have been up to over the past month...
Wedding dancing.
Seeing Great Grandma Benzschawel.
Fun at Grammy and Grampy's house.
Catching bubbles.
Park fun.
Making messes.

Your 15 month stats:
  • Weight:  24 pounds
  • Length: 32 inches
  • Clothes: You are wearing 12-18 month clothes and 18 month pjs.
  • Shoes: You wear size 5 shoes
  • Diapers: You wear cloth diapers day and night.
  • Food: Mommy milk, water.  You eat pretty much anything we give you.  And if you don't like it, you spit it out. Your favorites are pancakes, meatballs, chicken nuggets.
  • Development: You love to scoot on your little bikes. You have found your voice and like to squeal at the top of your lungs (we are not loving that).
  • Words: Dada, Mama, hot, hat, moo, baa, hello, up, ni-ni, uh-oh
  • Teeth: You have 12 teeth. Your lower right first molar came in on August 20.
  • Sleep:  You go to bed around 8 pm and sleep until I wake you up to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  On the days I'm off, you sleep until 7:30 when I wake you up to take Chesney to school.  You take one 2 hour nap daily in the afternoon.
  • What I love about you: You are a busy boy and have to keep up with Brecken.   You are very good at keeping yourself busy, but you like to get into the cabinets and closets that you aren't supposed to be in.  You are generally a very happy little guy.

We love you Mackston!

Chesney {1st Grader}

Chesney is officially a 1st grader. She loves school so she was pretty excited to be going back to the classroom.
 We started the morning with the traditional pancakes and candles.

 Then grabbed a few pictures and headed to school.
 Chesney and her kindergarten friend Izzy.
 Off to her room for her first day of fun.
 The boys and I missed her while she was gone so we picked out a cake for her.  She was so excited about it when she got home.

 I can't believe my baby is in 1st grade.  Enjoy the year sweet girl! We love you!!

1st Grade Eve

The day before 1st grade and any grade for that matter is tough.  It's the ending of summer and the beginning of daily schedules. It's also the reminder that your kids are getting older.  I hate that my kids grow so fast.
Summer has been full of lots of fun and memories but like every year, it goes way too fast.

 We have had fun making memories,but tonight it was time to get Chesney ready for first grade.
 So we read "The Night Before First Grade" and snuggled a little longer.
I'm enjoying just one in school because next year is going to be disastrous (for me) sending two of my loves to school.

Chesney {2nd Lost Tooth}

Chesney lost her 2nd tooth today, and she didn't swallow this one!  She lost her left lower central incisor. She pulled it out on her own before bed.  She was pretty excited to stick it in her Tooth Fairy pillow.

 She woke up to some money and a sweet note from the Tooth Fairy.  She was so giggly about the fact that that Tooth Fairy said her tooth was the best in the collection.  I love this little girl's sweetness.

It's August

Somehow August is upon us and we are in back to school month.  So we have been soaking up the summer fun.
 Summer means lots of playground trips.
 There's a tiny little driver behind that steering wheel.

 This guy is obsessed with getting into the cabinets.  Our 3rd child and we finally get to use the cabinet locks.

 We have also spent many nights in the pool.  Brecken has no fear and loves to jump in the pool now.

 Mackston loves to play peek-a-boo.  His favorite time to play is when we tuck everyone in for bed.  While we are giving Brecken hugs and kisses, Mackston is behind his curtains playing peek-a-boo.

 Morning forts are a favorite in this house.
 And they are even better when you get to eat breakfast in them.
 Mackston is loving the smoothies.
 Tug of war with the dog.
 Lots of walks and bike rides.
 And Mackston has figured out how to ride the plasma car.
 Grandma and Grandpa have kept the kids busy all summer long.  They have gone to the kiddie pool and splash pad many times.
 And they made the kids a special fort at their new house.
 How cute are the little stools they made for the kids in their fort?!?

 Chesney wanted to learn to sew so we made a pillowcase together.
 Mackston always wants to do what Brecken is doing.
 My favorite two people to follow to the park

 Chesney finished golf lessons with an end of the year tournament yesterday.  She finished in 4th place for her age group. She has become a better golfer and had lots of fun in the process.
