Baby #2 - 33 Weeks

  • How far along: 33 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures about 17-18 inches — about the size of a pineapple and weighs about 4 pounds
  • Total Weight Gain: 22 pounds
  • Maternity Clothes: Mainly dresses and maternity jeans with tops.
  • Gender: We are having a BOY!
  • Sleep: Sleeping well aside from using the bathroom a few times at night, and the little guy moving like crazy.
  • Cravings: Chocolate and anything sweet. Water in the middle of the night.
  • Anything making you queasy or sick?  Powder scented stuff (I can't stand powder scented deodorant) and any strong scents.
  • Best moment this week: Getting more baby clothes
  • What I miss most: Tying my shoes comfortably.
  • Symptoms: Nesting...still.   Braxton hicks contractions. Some heart burn.
  • What I'm looking forward to: Washing and folding teeny tiny clothes!
  • Movement: Still breech and kicking low.  He is moving most at night.

Thankful

This thanksgiving I am so thankful for my wonderful family, especially my husband, daughter and baby boy.  We are so blessed to have a little boy on the way and can't wait to see his precious face.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving that is full of blessings!

Baby #2 - 32 Weeks

  • How far along: 32 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures about 16ish inches — about the size of a squash — and weighs about 3-3.5 pounds
  • Total Weight Gain: 21 pounds
  • Maternity Clothes: Mainly dresses and maternity jeans with tops.
  • Gender: We are having a BOY!
  • Sleep: Sleeping well aside from using the bathroom a few times at night.
  • Cravings: Chocolate and anything sweet. Water in the middle of the night.

  • What I miss most: Sitting comfortably. Bending over without it feeling like a work-out.
  • Symptoms: Nesting...still.   Braxton hicks contractions.
  • What I'm looking forward to: Spending Thanksgiving with family.
  • Movement: I think my little boy has moved because his kicks seem higher (we will see what the doc says this week).

Party Time

Chesney loves to have little parties at our house and it is fun to let her get excited about doing special things.  Last week we had a hot cocoa party after nap one day.
She may have liked the marshmallows as much as the cocoa.

Either way, the party was a fun way to break up the afternoon.
Sunday night we had a popcorn party. Chesney saw a commercial for a movie called Sofia the First earlier this week (on Disney).  So we made a big deal out of it all weekend and turned it into a fun little family party.
 Getting ready for the movie.
I love movie nights in our bed with out sweetie pie.  She only watched about 1/3 of the movie before she wanted to go play.  She asked if she could go take all her clothes out of her dresser to get ready for her rummage sale (Grandma rubbing off on her).  I told that I would have to pick them all up then, to which she replied "yeah you will".

Deck the Halls

We spent this past Saturday morning putting up Christmas decorations at Great Grandpa's house.  It was actually nearly 50 degrees, so pretty much perfect weather for the job.
My helper was probably a little over dressed, but she just shed layers as we went.
She was beyond amazed at the scene below.  She would have this in her bedroom if we let her.

We were treated with some delicious pizza following the decorating!  Now we wait a few more days, and the lights can be on every night!

Baby #2 - 31 Weeks

  • How far along: 31 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures about 15-16 inches — about the size of a pineapple — and weighs about 3-3.5 pounds
  • Total Weight Gain: 20 pounds
  • Maternity Clothes: I wear my one pair of jeans that fits with my maternity jeans more often and dresses to work.
  • Gender: We are having a BOY!
  • Sleep: Tossing and turning a little (which seems to take way too much effort) and going to the bathroom more.
  • Cravings: Chocolate and anything sweet.
  • Anything making you queasy or sick?  Powder scented stuff (I can't stand powder scented deodorant) and any strong scents.
  • Best moment this week: Finalizing the rug and wall decor for the nursery.
  • What I miss most: Sitting comfortably. Not having back pain when I stand up from laying down.
  • Symptoms: Nesting, non-stop.  I think I have organized nearly every closet in the house (some twice). My husband had to remind me not to throw out anything we may use again.  I'm also getting short of breath easier.
  • What I'm looking forward to: The rug and wall art coming in this week.
  • Movement: This little guy loves to lay in uncomfortable spots at night.  He moves like crazy most of the time.
