Last Day of School {Brecken & Chesney}

Today the kids finished off the school year.
 Good-bye 3rd grade.

 Good-bye kindergarten.

Mackston and Crew are happy that they get their big brother and sister back for summer.

The school year always ends with the park and a picnic. The families are invited to celebrate the end of the year.

Watermelon and tug of war at the park.

Final good-byes to Mrs. Arndt and kindergarten.  She is an amazing teacher.

Final good-byes to Mrs. Marnacha and 3rd grade.

We are so happy to have the big kids home for summer.

Brecken's Farm Field Trip

Brecken had his end of the year field trip to his teacher's, Mrs. Arndt, farm yesterday. This is by far the best field trip the kids go on in this school. I remember going with Chesney and was excited to join Brecken as well.
Brecken and his little buddy Henry rode with me.

We went for a wagon ride around the farm and climbed on the farm equipment.

After the fun on the farm, we went back to Mrs. Arndt's house where she had lunch ready for the everyone.

We spent the afternoon at the park playing and having ice cream.

This still tops all the field trips offered through the years.  I think the parent's have just as much fun as the kids.  And it's a great way to close out the kindergarten year.

Mackston's 4th Birthday

Mackston is 4!
 Birthday pancakes!

His birthday was a whirlwind of a day.  I had a field trip with Brecken all day so he hung out with Grandpa and Grandma. He had cupcakes with them, and they made lunch extra special for him.
We celebrated with pizza and cake after school because Chesney had to be at dance rehearsals from 5 to 9 pm. But I think he had fun celebrating his day.

Mackston asked for a marshmallow cake for his birthday, so I made him a chocolate cake with marshmallow cream in the middle and marshmallow frosting.

Over the weekend Grampy and Grammy came with gifts for Mackston and we celebrated his birthday again. He was pretty excited about his new Nerf bow. We had an oreo cake to celebrate.

Mackston's growth percentiles:
Weight: 38 lb 9 oz (72nd percentile)
Height: 3' 5.5" (76th percentile)

Happy 4th Birthday Mackston!

Spring Fun

Spring is finally here and we have been up to lots and lots of outdoor fun.
We made some cloud dough and outside was the perfect place to play with it.

The boys are having so much fun with playing sports now that we can get outside. We play soccer or baseball almost nightly.
Crew loves his big sister so much!

Drive in movie for Crew.
Those are some big shoes for Crew to fill.

Teacher appreciation week with a fiesta theme so I made taco cupcakes for the teachers and staff.
Chesney learned how to mow the lawn.

Daddy and Brecken were really into watch the playoffs this year since the Bucks were in it.

Spring hockey came to an end.
Baseball season is in full swing for Brecken.

You know it's going to be a super day when this is how the morning starts.

The kid's made lots of cute gifts to celebrate me on Mother's Day.  We ended up going to a restaurant near Chicago and spent the day as a family. It was the perfect day.

In the evening we played outside before calling it a day.

Grandma celebrated her birthday with 4 little people who think the world of her.

Spring concerts at the school were excellent as always.

Lots of trips to the park have started.
We played with some chalk paint.

Mackston painted more than the driveway.
And finally the weather is warm enough for water fun.
