Chesney's 9th Birthday

Chesney celebrated her 9th birthday today.
We started the day with our traditional birthday pancakes.

Chesney had dance practice and after practice the studio had a special day to make projects for the Children's Hospital in Madison.  Chesney was so excited to stay and help make tie blankets for the kids.  She has a huge servant's heart, and I love it!

After blanket making we went home for Chesney to open her gift.  She was pretty excited.

She spent a little time reading with her puppy in the afternoon while I finished decorating her cake.

 Always posing.
Grandpa and Grandma came over to give Chesney gifts and to have dinner with us.

Chesney wanted Daddy to make her steak on the grill for her birthday dinner, so that's exactly what he did.

Chesney's growth percentiles:
Weight: 80 lb 3 oz (83rd percentile)
Height: 4' 7" (80th percentile)

May all your wishes come true sweet girl.  You are the best blessing, and we couldn't be more proud of the girl you have become. Happy 9th birthday Chesney!

St. Patrick's Day 2019

Every year on St. Patrick's Day a little leprechaun comes and makes a mess in our house.  And this year was no different.
He put green leprechaun juice in Daddy's diet coke bottle and colored the toilet water green.
And he left footprints all over the kitchen before leaving through the patio door.
Mackston was not happy with that leprechaun.  He grabbed a wash cloth and walked around cleaning up the footprints while saying "naughty leprechaun."

Dupree Dance Competition

Chesney had her first ever dance competition this weekend with 2 days of dance classes following.  It was a busy, busy, busy weekend but also lots of fun!
Loaded up and ready to cheer on Chesney.  We had to meet Daddy in downtown Chicago as he was worked at the downtown office for the day.
Her dance team was all ready to shake it.

Getting ready to go on stage.
Awards presentation after her age level.

Their dance scored a platinum which is the 2nd highest score.

Day 2 was dance classes and cheering on the older kids on her team who still had to compete.
She had a variety of classes over the weekend including hip hop, ballet, jazz, musical theater.
We found some time to hit the pool.

 Crew loved the pool.

Watching the older girls dance with her mini team.

Day 3 was more classes and then and afternoon of hanging with the team until the closing ceremony.

Chesney's fan club followed her every move for the weekend and were so good.
We are so proud of Chesney and all the hard work she has put into dancing this year.
