My Little Helper

Chesney is such a great little helper (which should come in handy when baby #2 is born).  I like giving her some responsibility, and she likes helping.

She ended up in her swim suit asking me to spray her.

And she loves to help clean the toilets.

I have to say, she makes washing the car and cleaning toilets much more enjoyable.

Baby #2 - 20 Week Ultrasound

These are some pictures from our 20 week ultrasound.  The lady was going to take a 3D picture, but the little stinker was spine up most of the time.

  • Size of baby: measures 10 inches — about the size of a banana — and weighs 10.5 ounces
  • Total Weight Gain: 5 pounds
  • Maternity Clothes: No but getting way closer!  Wearing my more comfortable clothes.
  • Gender: Finding out this week...squeal!
  • Sleep: Tossing and turning a little during the night.
  • Cravings: Grape juice, pasta, and spaghetti sauce with hamburger in it (yes, that's right, MEAT).
  • Anything making you queasy or sick?  Powder scented stuff (lotion, deodorant).
  • Best moment this week: Daddy set up a new cradle for baby, and we started organizing the spare bedroom and baby's room.
  • What I miss most: Fitting comfortably into my clothes.
  • Symptoms: Vomiting about once each week.  I hit a new low this week when I threw up grape juice and it came out my nose too (ouch).
  • What I'm looking forward to: Finding out baby's gender
  • Movement: Feeling kicks more often.  I love feeling the kicks while I'm working.

Sweet Treats

Chesney is a BIG fan of sweet treats.  We decided to take her to a local ice cream stand last weekend, and she had a blast!  She was asking for pink ice cream all the way there.  We thought we were going to have to get her a strawberry malt to get the pink color she wanted, but they ended up having strawberry soft serve.
Yeah, she liked her pink ice cream!  So worth the trip for our little princess.

Baby Payten

My little sister's baby girl decided to arrive on her due date, August 11, 2012 at 7:15am.  We were thrilled to finally meet Payten.  She weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.
Chesney was so excited to see her and ready to "change her diaper all by myself."

We thought she would fit in well with our family, but Kate and Kyle weren't having any of it.
She was more alert on day 2 and got dressed up for her hospital pictures.  She does have enough clothes to be changed a few times daily. (Kate, you make me so proud!)

Congratulations Kate and Kyle!  Baby Payten is beyond precious, and we miss her already!  Welcome to the family Payten.  We love you!

C is for...

I found Crayola window crayons on a trip to Hobby Lobby last week and knew I had to get them for my sweet girl.  I pulled them out for her to play with today, and she loved them!

 The finished masterpiece.
She was practicing her letter C on the window.  Yesterday we were at our bank drive up, and she yelled from the back seat, "there's a "C" for Chesney.  Chuck and I looked up to see the sign with the bank's name Blackhawk Community on the side of the bank.  We were slightly shocked that she could pick a "C" out like that.
After dinner, she decided to take my heels for a walk.  She took every pair out of the closet and lined them up after walking in them.

I love how my little girl has so much fun with everything she does.

My Little Love

My sweet little girl melts my heart.  You can't possibly know the love of a child until you have one.  Such an amazing gift!

So full of life and love!  Chesney, I love you so much sweet angel!!
