Happy Halloween 2018

Halloween came and went in a blur this year.
There was skeleton making with snacks.
 And pumpkin carving.

And best of all, there was trick or treating. At one house there was a little boy dressed up as a wolf in front of the kids.  We asked the kids to back up a little so that boy could get some candy. Mackston pipes up and says "Yeah, cause you don't want that wolf to eat you."

Yee-haw and Happy Halloween from our gang to yours.

Fall Fun

We have been spending extra time outside cleaning up and getting ready for colder weather.

Brecken started hockey and is so excited to play.

Backyard shenanigans while we cleaned up leaves.

Beyond blessed by this family of ours.

Double Field Trip Day

Yesterday I was field tripping all day long.  I started the morning on a field trip with Chesney's class to Rotary Gardens.  We learned about pumpkins and then did some pumpkin math.

After the indoor fun, we went outside to learn all about nature, see plants and collect seeds.

When we arrived back at the school, I dropped Chesney at her locker and ran home to take the boys to Grandpa and Grandma's house so I could run back to school for an afternoon field trip with Brecken.  We went to Skelly's Farm and also learned about pumpkins.

Brecken also got to pick out a pumpkin, take a tractor/wagon ride and run through a corn maze.

I had so much fun hanging out with my kindergartener and 3rd grader! It's hard to top a double field trip day.

Fall Fun

We attended our church fall festival a couple weekends ago. They always have great games for the kids to play and this year was no different.

We had a warm day so we went to the park after we dropped the big kids off.

Back at home, we practiced letters outside.  Mac wrote his name.

And I surprised the kids with ice cream after school.  This photo was before the chaos.  There were tons of bees so Brecken ended up throwing his ice cream which splattered all over my back and purse.  So we got in the car to go home and Mackston spilled his on the floor.  It wasn't the best ice cream trip ,but Chesney and I were laughing on the way home because, well that's all you can do when you are covered in ice cream.

The kids picked up leaves in our yard and then went to a few neighbors houses to pick up leaves.  When they got back, they decided to dump all of the leaves in a pile in our front yard so they could jump in them.

Sunday we worked outside most of the day and ended the day with a fall snack and movie night.  We made boo mix and marshmallow popcorn to enjoy while we watched The Great Pumpkin.
