Chensey {1st Lost Tooth}

Chesney lost her first tooth tonight.  And she has one heck of a story to go with it.  She has told us that her bottom right tooth is loose for well over 6 months, but it was truly loose for the past month.  When we were at the cottage last week it really started to get wiggly.  I was nervous she would lose the tooth while we were at the cottage because she didn't have her tooth fairy pillow with her.  Well it turns out that she didn't lose it at the cottage. By Tuesday she was wiggling her tooth all the time.  That night we had sweet corn for dinner and then drove to Culvers for ice cream.  While we were waiting for our ice cream, she was showing us how she could move her tooth with her lip. As we drove home, she ate her heath concrete mixer.
 And then all of a sudden she looked up and said "Where's my tooth?"  Daddy looked in the rear view mirror, and I whipped around to look, and we saw a gap in her smile. And then we broke the news to her that she had probably swallowed her tooth.
 She was totally ok with this until she called Grandma to tell her and then she cried.  Once we told her the tooth fairy would still be coming she was just fine.
 So she had me write a letter to the tooth fairy for her to explain the situation.  And we tucked that letter into her tooth pillow. A special thanks to Grandma for making a tooth fairy pillow with Chesney.
 So we tucked her into bed that night, and she woke up the next morning with $5 and a little tooth bag from the tooth fairy with the following poem on it...
Dear Toothfairy,
In this pouch you will find an itty, bitty tooth of mine. While I sleep where dreams are made, will you come and make a trade?
She can use this little bag to hold any other teeth she may lose.  She can then put the bag in the pocket of her tooth fairy pillow.

 And she also noticed that the tooth fairy had landed on her bed side table, leaving a glittery trail to her bed. To say she was excited would be an understatement.

This was certainly an exciting way to lose a first tooth, but we are hoping the next tooth makes it into her tooth fairy pillow.
