Summer Vacay Week 6

Week 6 of the summer was spent at the cottage in Upper Michigan.  On the 4th, we hit up the local ice cream stand for a cool treat.

Someone snoozed while we ate ice cream.

There is always a boat parade on the lake on July 4th, and the kids love being part of the parade.  The kids filled bags of candy to throw out to kids swimming at the beach.
And Grandma helped the kids make puppy chow to eat on the boat.
Ellie got to join the parade this year too.

My 4th of July sweeites.

The kids spent lots of time in the lake at the cottage.  They loved tubing and riding the jet ski.

Ellie did a little swimming but didn't love it.

And there was lots of time to relax.

Brecken helped Grandpa wash his golf clubs.

Chesney wanted to waterski this year and was able to get up a few times with the help of Daddy.
Daddy did a little waterskiing on his own too.
The kids had so much fun playing together.

We had an ice cream party at the cottage one night.  The kids were loving it!

Water fun for days and days...

These two are best buddies and spent the majority of the vacation beside one another.

We took a hike at Horse Race Rapids.

I found Brecken like this on the potty one day...
The guys took a kayak trip down the river one day and then took the kayaks down to the lake so the kids could go for a ride.

More swimming fun!

This pictures just melts my heart.  Grandpa and Brecken are best buddies.

Mackston smiled for the first time on July 3 and gave us a few more smiles throughout the trip.

Brecken lovin' on his little bro.

 Twinsies!

And we took one more trip for ice cream.

The cottage trip was a whole lot of fun, but we are excited to be back to our normal routine at home.
