Weekly blogdate

More photos to share of our recent adventures.
Sunshine lunch because we were just hoping for some warm weather.
Brecken and I went to Hobby Lobby one day, and he found something he had to have.  We like to play Captain Hook at our house.  Daddy is always Captain Hook, and we hide on the bed under the blankets while he tries to find us. When Brecken saw this hook he said (with the most serious look on his face) "Daddy need this, ok mommy?"  How could I say no.
 More ice skating fun.
Snuggles with my boys at the rink to stay warm.

 Chesney is loving the ice.
And warm weather did finally come around so we hit the car wash!
Little Mackston is getting more mobile.  He likes to check things out when he can.

 Afternoon snuggles with Daddy.
Brecken is Daddy's little helper at all times.  He loves to carry his tape measure and wear his head phones.
 My cutie pants girl.
Last week I went on another field trip with Chesney.
Her two best friends, Kendall and Hannah, never left her side.
The field trip was for a science show which was pretty entertaining.
After the field trip, I grabbed this guy for some playing.
Chesney is doing really well with reading and volunteers to read to Brecken often.

We had a cookie treat on Saturday.

And then hit the park to burn off all of the sugar.

Brecken rode his bike all the way to the park and back. This boy has energy for days.
The warm weather was perfect for chalk art.
 Popcorn party!
When you have teeth you have to brush them.  Mackston loves to chew on his toothbrush.
Chesney and Brecken made a car out of the kitchen chairs and stools. Poor Mackston was caught in the middle of that set-up while he ate breakfast.
Sunday night we went to tuck Brecken in and found him in bed with his suitcase.  This suitcase was packed full of toys and books. I just love this silly boy so much!

Snow Day

Yesterday our warm weather was abruptly interrupted by a whole lot of snow.  And only one person was beyond thrilled...Brecken.  He wanted to be out in the snow before breakfast.
When he finally got out there he was so excited.  He shoveled and hauled snow around.
When it was time for him to come in I asked him to grab his shopping cart.  He looked at me and said "No Mommy, that's my snowblower".  Well clearly that's a snow blower.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today we celebrated Daddy's 34th birthday.  It was a very snowy day so he worked from home, which gave us lots of time with him.  Of course he got our traditional birthday pancakes to start the day.

Chesney made sure everyone at school knew it was her Daddy's birthday. When Daddy walked into school to pick her up, Chesney's teacher told him "Happy birthday and tell your brother, Jon, happy birthday too. Chesney was clearly excited about Daddy's birthday because she talked about it so much that her teacher knew that Daddy had a twin brother named Jon. Daddy requested an ice cream cake this year, so Chesney helped me pick up the cake after school and then Grandma and Grandpa came over for a birthday dinner and cake.

This little guy loves pizza and his Daddy too.
Reese's peanut butter cup ice cream cake for the birthday boy!
I think he liked his new GoPro camera.

Happy birthday Daddy!  We love you more than you will ever know!!!
