Yesterday was a big day at our house. On Friday night we decided we were going to buy a crib for Mackston since he was outgrowing the bassinet. On Saturday morning we had a moment of insanity and decided we would buy Brecken a bed and move the crib into Mackston's room. Once we told the kids, there was no going back.
Saturday morning after breakfast we took the crib apart and moved it to Mackston's room. Mackston was pretty happy with his new bed.
In the afternoon, Daddy ran to pick up Brecken's bed while I went with the kids to get some bedding for Brecken. When we got home, Brecken's Halloween costume was in the mailbox. He was so excited about his Jake the pirate costume. He was waiting at the door when daddy pulled in with this bed.
Time to assemble the bed and we had 2 giggly kiddos.
Brecken in a Jake costume with the biggest smile on his face the entire time his ship bed was being built....just melts my heart. We really debated about whether we should get him a ship bed or a big bed but these kids are only little for so long. And the joy he has had with this bed has been so worth it!
The bed was finished just in time to get tucked in for the night.
Brecken went right to sleep. This morning we went in his room at 7:45 to get him ready for church, and he was laying awake in his bed. He was beyond excited to have the ship bed. Mackston slept through the night in his crib as well. These two boys are loving their new beds. We will just hope it stays that way.
