Brecken {50 Weeks Old}

Brecken spent his last week celebrating his first Christmas and going on a little road trip. We have been spending some time at the cottage in Michigan this week.  This little man got to have lots of fun playing in the snow, sledding, and hanging out with his cousins.

Christmas 2013

Christmas day was an absolute blast this year.  Chesney finally understands the magic of Christmas, and Brecken was so excited about his new toys.  Nothing beats the excitement of children!

Grammy & Grampy came down this year to celebrate Christmas with us!  We are so thankful that they made the trip down.  We all went for a ride on Christmas Eve night with hot cocoa to see Christmas lights.

 

 

 Christmas morning we had one very excited girl.

 And one curious little boy.

 This was definitely the Merriest Christmas we have ever celebrated.  So very thankful for our 2 little loves who we get to celebrate with.

Brecken {49 Weeks Old}

We are beyond excited to celebrate Brecken's first Christmas this week!  He is going to be one excited boy to have new toys to play with.

Christmas Treats

We have been very busy making lots of Christmas treats over the past few weeks. 

Chesney and Grandma made gingerbread houses.  Chesney told us she ate a lot of candy when she was making this. 

 I love the picture below of Chesney and Daddy.

  Chesney saw a picture of tree shaped treats in a magazine one day and wanted to make them.  So we got all the ingredients and made them.  Notice the princess carriage on top of one of the treats. When we were picking out ingredients, she saw the princess cake candies and asked if she could get them for the treats.

She is always the official taste tester at this house.

 And of course we made Christmas cookies (more than once).  She loves helping to cut out the dough.

 We have all enjoyed eating these treats just as much as we have enjoyed making them.

Jolly

Our little elf friend, Jolly, has twirled back into our family this year.  He arrived the day after Thanksgiving, ringing the doorbell while Chesney ate breakfast.

 He has  been having a lot of fun since he returned.

 

 Chesney is having so much fun with Jolly and loves looking for him everyday. 

 

Brecken {1st Haircut}

Brecken had his first big boy haircut today.  His hair was getting so long in the back that Chesney suggested we put it in a ponytail.

 I took him to the same girl who cuts my hair. He sat still the entire time which kind of surprised me.
