Halloween 2020

Halloween this year was much different due to Covid 19. We spent the month doing some of the normal Halloween type activities, but we decided to do a pizza party and movie on Halloween night instead of going out trick or treating or handing out candy.

We had some sweet friends drop off treats throughout the month.
And we started a new tradition called Booing!  We made 20 buckets filled with candy, glow sticks and toys and then picked a bunch of friends we wanted to Boo. We loaded the buckets into the car and headed out to Boo people. The kids ran up to each house, dropped a bucket of goodies and ran back to the car as fast as they could.  I never imagined the kids would have so much fun.  They were giggling so loud and laughing non-stop. We ended up making more buckets to Boo more people in the following weeks because the kids had so much fun.
There was plenty of candy to be had.
Chesney got to dress up for dance.  She decided to be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.
Crew helped clean out the pumpkins.
On Halloween day we made some monster brownies for dessert.
We found a way to make Halloween fun this year but are looking forward to a more normal Halloween next year (hopefully).

Easter 2020

Easter this year was very different this year. No time with family, no egg hunts and no Easter church service.  But it was a beautiful day, and we spent lots of time together outside.

Grammy and Grampy sent a box of treats which the kids loved!

 We dyed some eggs.

Christmas 2019

We had a wonderful Christmas with our family this year.  We simplified Christmas a little this year with a few less but more meaningful gifts.  And I have to say, it was the perfect Christmas.

I made each of the kids a blanket which they loved!

My favorite gift of all was our Gift of Togetherness.  We gave the kids a special poem with 12 envelopes, one for each month of the year.  Throughout 2020, the kids will open an envelope each month, each which contains an activity that we will do together as a family.  They were so excited about this and asked about it throughout the day. I can't wait for this present to continue to spread Christmas love throughout the year.

We ended the evening with a family meal.
This is  Christmas has extra magical.  Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
