Easter started a little early at our house as we went out of town for the weekend. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit on Tuesday to give Chesney and Brecken some Easter goodies. Lots of candy for Chesney, clothes for both kids and headbands for Chesney.
We had such a wonderful Easter weekend. We headed for Grammy and Grampy's house Friday afternoon and arrived early enough to play and have dinner with the family. Grammy and Grampy had their hands full with Brecken & Payten.
Auntie Kate loving on the littles. Kate is the best, hands down!
Saturday was rainy but we were able to go to the local movie theater which hosted a movie and egg hunt. After watching a Veggie Tales Easter movie, we went to a different part of the theater to hunt for eggs and then got to collect prizes.
Before we left, we got to see the Easter bunny. Chesney loved him.
Brecken slept the entire 2 hours we were there.
Cory and Garret with the bunny.
Kate and Payten with Mr. Rabbit. Payten just kept touching his fur. She is so interested in touching and seeing everything.
Someone finally woke up when we got back home, and he was quite festive when he woke up, I might add.
After a long nap from the kiddos, it was time to dye eggs.
Great Grammy came over to help out and eat dinner with us.
A 4 generation picture with Grammy and Great Grammy.
And Great Grammy with Chesney and Brecken. (Side note: Brecken spit up and pooped so much on this day that he went though 3 onesies and 2 shirts...hence all the different outfits in one day!)
After dinner we surprised Grammy with a birthday cake since her birthday is next week.
Grammy & Grampy with all the grandkids.
Sunday morning the kids were up early to hunt for eggs. Grammy & Grampy had Easter baskets for each of them.
That bunny hid eggs in every room of the house, and the kids has so much fun finding them all.
Some of the eggs were so high that a little boost was needed.
After the egg hunt the kids checked out their baskets.
Grammy made little pillows for the little kids.
We left Chippewa late Sunday morning and headed for home. Luckily, the Easter bunny came to our house as well. Chesney and Brecken searched for eggs first.
And then Chesney found the Easter baskets.
She was pretty excited to see everything inside including a book called 5 Minute Princess Stories, a swimsuit, princess sunglasses, a jump rope and a couple eggs with candy and stickers in them. Brecken got a romper, shirt, 2 books (Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site and Good Night, My Love) and a Sophie the Giraffe toy.
We had such a great Easter weekend. Holidays are just so much more fun when you have kids! Happy Easter from our family to yours.
