Mackston {52 Weeks Old}

We are nearly at the 1 year mark.  It doesn't seem possible that a year could possibly fly this fast but it has.
Busy man has a hard time sitting/laying still for even a quick photo.  Happy birthday week Mackston!

Mackston {51 Weeks Old}

In one week my baby boy will be 1 year old.  I just can't believe how fast the years fly by.
And since he is a walker now, he is all kinds of stumbles and falls.  That is exactly how he suffered his first head injury.  He wobbled and fell into the window trim and had a nice little gash in his forehead.  It's probably the first of many scrapes and bruises for this guy.  Happy 51 weeks buddy!

Boy Mom Life

Having boys is a whole different world than having girls.  They love to live life on the edge, they get dirty, they have no time for learning or sitting still and they don't make little set ups with toys...they knock them down.
But being a boy mom has made me more laid back because sometimes kids just have to be kids. So I've learned to embrace those crazy things that boys find to be so much fun. Because one day I'll wish I had a 3 year riding his balance bike down a hill in the back yard or a nearly one year old climbing the stairs for the 100th time in a day.

Mackston {50 Weeks Old}

Mackston is walking everywhere and has mastered lifting the toilet lid and splashing in the water.  They say that every kid is different and that has held true for my 3 kiddos.  This is our first one who likes to go fishing.
And he is learning to shake his head yes and no.  He has no idea what either means yet, but I'm sure that's not too far behind.
Happy 50 weeks Mackston!  We love you so much!

Grandma's Birthday

Today we celebrated Grandma's birthday.

 I think she was just happy to have her grandkids around.  And then loved singing to her and helping her eat her ice cream cake.
 Happy Birthday Grandma.  We love you!!

Chesney's Kindy Buddy

Kindergarten has a special program called the buddy program.  It pairs a Kindy student with an 8th grade buddy.  This buddy does special crafts and games with the student and sits with them in church throughout the year. Chesney's buddy was Phoebe, and Chesney just loved her.
 8th grade has a pinning ceremony a few weeks before they graduate.  During this ceremony the Kindy students get to say what they like about their buddy and what they think their buddy will be when they grow up.  Chesney said she liked her buddy because "She's nice and she talks with me." When her teacher asked her what Phoebe would be when she gets big, Chesney's response was "A doctor because she's really good at fixing owies."  The entire audience said "Aww" with that answer.
 Chesney took her buddy a special gift for graduation.  I think Chesney is going to miss seeing her buddy next year.  Thanks for watching out for our little girl Phoebe.

Mother's Day 2016

Mother's Day is one of my favorite days of the year.  Not because it is all about me, but because I get to celebrate my favorite task that God has ever blessed me with, being a mother.
Thank you to my mom for showing me what a mother's love truly is.  And thanks for always reassuring me that these crazy kids aren't always going to be this rambunctious.  We love you!
 Happy Mother's Day to my mother-in-law.  You are the most selfless person I have ever known.  These 3 kids are your world, and I never have to worry about them when they are in your hands. Thank you for taking such great care of them.  We love you!

The kid's woke up ready to give me hugs, kisses and a few gifts.

They also got me a peanut butter cup ice cream cake.  That is certainly one of my favorites.
We celebrated Mother's Day by planting flowers and cleaning the garage.  Glamorous, I know.  And then we had Grandpa and Grandma over for dinner and this delicious peanut butter cup cake.

This was my favorite Mother's Day yet!  These kiddos just rock my world every single day!
