Dance Girl

Chesney has been taking ballet and jazz dance classes this summer and decided she wanted to try out for the competition dance team. 

So we went to try-outs, and she danced her heart out.  And today we found out that SHE MADE THE TEAM!  She is beyond excited for what the next year has in store for her.  I'm so proud of my little girl!

Playdates and ball games

Chesney had a school friend, Hannah, over for a play date last week.  We picked her up and went to a playground near her house. The kids had never been to this playground so it was fun to explore the new equipment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We went back home to play and then each of the kids made a pizza for lunch.

 

 Chesney enjoyed her play date and her super hero brothers liked annoying them.

 On Sunday we went to a Brewers game.  The kids were most excited to eat all kids of food.

 The free popsicles were a big hit.

 We didn't get to watch much of the game, but we checked out a lot of the stadium and hit a playground.

Tonight we went to the waterski show.  Two of Chesney's best friend from school are in the show, so the kids loved watching them.

 

We are filling our summer with lots of fun (and late bedtimes).

Mackston {No Training Wheels}

Mackston has officially learned to ride his bike without training wheels.  He had a flat tire on his bike and while Daddy was fixing it, Mackston told him not to put the training wheels back on.  And that little boy got on that bike and took off.  So at the age of 3 years and 1 month, he is officially riding a two wheeler. The training wheels are now in storage for when Crew gets bigger.

 

Summertime Fun

The summer is flying by!

 The big kids had a sleep over at Grandpa and Grandma's house one night and made shark jello cups. 

 

While the big kids slept overnight, Chuck and I took Crew to dinner and then to Lake Geneva to walk and see the lake.  It was a beautiful night. We stopped on our walk for ice cream which Crew loved!

Over the weekend we took a bike ride to Palmer Park to swim in the kiddie pool and then head back home to swim in our own pool.

 

 

 I found these crazy monsters while shopping at Sam's Club one day.  And they were so cute that I took them all home with me.

Popsicles are a favorite at our house, and Crew likes a good popsicles as much as the rest of the gang.

 

 

Sweet Corn

We have been eating sweet corn like crazy now that it is in season.  And the kids love it just as much as we do. We went to Skelly's Farm last week to pick up sweet corn and spent a couple hours at the farm playing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 They have an obstacle course at the farm.  Crew thought the obstacle course was a piece of cake because he could just walk under the ropes.

 

 

 

 And that night we enjoyed are fresh sweet corn.
