Mother's Day weekend started on Saturday with lunch and dinner with Grandpa and Grandma, Jeremy, Jessie, Allie and Ryan to celebrate Mother's Day and Grandma's birthday.
Happy Mother's Day to my mom and mother-in-law. Thank you for all you do for us and for our babies. We know we don't say it enough, but you are amazing!
We had a very relaxing Mother's Day, well after church that is. The boys were a little restless in church but other than that, the day was perfect. Chesney sang in the children's choir at church for the first time and loved it. I let her wear a pair of my dangly earrings to church. It was her first time wearing this type of earring, and she was so excited. And she got herself completely dressed and braided her own hair. What in the world happened to my baby girl!?!
My kids were so sweet and showered me with lots of hand-made gifts. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma and the kid's teachers for help with such sweet gifts. And Chesney planned a party in honor of me. She had all sorts of cute poems and messages taped to her walls. The best part about the party is that she made a game called "pin the high heel on Mommy". She had a cut out person who was wearing a dress and you had to pin the high heel on her. That little girl sure knows her Mommy.
Brecken thinks I'm 70 years old but at least he loves me more than monster trucks.
Chesney asked me my favorite things and then made a giant sign with all of my favorites in bubble letters.
Pin the heel on Mommy. I just love Chesney's creativity.
We had lunch with Grandpa and Grandma, and then we went to a local greenhouse to pick up some flowers for a flower garden I want to plant. The kids did an excellent job of picking out flowers with me.
We planted some flowers and then ended the day with a trip to the ice cream shop. I am beyond blessed to have these little sweeties who call me Mommy.
