It is the last week of May which means next week starts the month baby is due. We are beyond excited to meet this little guy. Chesney may be the most excited. She says "the baby could be born today" multiple times daily. She is going to be a great little momma.
My OB is still keeping a close eye on my amniotic fluid levels. At my appointment last Thursday I was down to 5.9. So I went in Sunday for another check and a nonstress test. The NST was normal and fluid levels looked steady. I go back Thursday for another check. She did tell me that she plans to induce on June 1st if the levels remain at 5. Holy moly, that's days away...EEK!
38 Weeks Pregnant
- How far along: 38 weeks
- Size of baby: measures over 19.5 inches— about the size of a leek and weighs about 6.8 pounds.
- Maternity Clothes: I am sick of wearing the same clothes over and over, but I wear what comfortable to get through the work days. It's all maxi skirts and maxi dresses.
- Gender: Boy
- Sleep: I'm sleeping like I have a newborn at home. I get up multiple times nightly because I'm not comfortable. I have also had some contractions in the night which tend to wake me up.
- Cravings: Fruit, peanut butter, water.
- Anything making you queasy or sick? Just Daddy's shampoo and body soap.
- Best moment this week: Spending lots of time with the kids, parks, ice cream and fun.
- What I miss most: I miss a lot of things at this point, like getting up easily, my old clothes, moving fast and laying on my belly. I am however pretty proud that I have been able to continue running this entire pregnancy. I typically run on the elliptical for 30 minutes at least 5 days weekly. I plan to keep running until little man appears. I also rode my bike up until 37 weeks (just to the park with the kids and Chuck). I would probably still be riding but Chuck put the kibosh on that.
- Symptoms: Contractions here and there and a little low back pain.
- What I'm looking forward to: Meeting this little guy!
- Movement: He moves a little less probably because he is running out of room. But you can definitely see his little body parts when he moves.
