Brecken {28 Weeks Old}

This little mover and shaker is 28 weeks old.  He's busy rolling around or crawling unless he is asleep.  He's going to be one active boy.

 Seriously, could my baby boy be any cuter?  Love him to pieces!  Happy 28 weeks Brecken!

 

You Brush Your Teeth, ch ch ch ch

Chesney likes having a partner when she's getting ready for bed.  And although Brecken has no teeth yet, he likes practicing.

 But really the brushing the teeth is the easy part.  The hard part is when she comes up with the 101 excuses why she can't go to sleep after she's in bed.  She is quite good at stalling: "I need a drink of water.", "I need tell you something.", "Are you home tomorrow?", "I need to go potty.", "Mommy, where is that pink shirt I wore to the park one time last year?", "I need more books." "What did we eat at Kate's wedding?"  Really, the list goes on and on.  But this is the stage she is in and this too shall pass. So we roll with the punches and thank God we have a little girl to come up with such important questions at 9:30 pm.

Brecken is sitting up.  He is now a crawling, sitting, busy boy.

 

 And a pretty cute one at that!

Up North Vacation

We took our annual 4th of July vacation to the cottage this year, and it was a lot of fun.  We arrived on July 4th.  The first order of business was the annual boat parade.  Our boat crew is expanding.

  After the boat parade, Chesney was ready to swim.

 Then we got some 4th of July pics of the kids.

 During our vacation, Brecken got plenty of attention. 

 Aunt Jessie ran the nail salon outside.  She's a pro at painting moving targets.

 Chesney found some time to fish with Daddy. 

 Allie and Ryan got in on the fishing action too.  Ryan had the big catch. 

 Cheney loved riding on the jet ski with her Daddy and cousin Allie. 

 I loved my extra time with my sweeties.

 This is what you call a photo bomb.  Well played fellas, well played! 

 Great Grandma Dahl came down for a visit

 We took a little trip to the beach at the end of the lake for some sand play. 

 These two are best buddies!

 My handsome boys were co-captains of the pontoon boat.

 I love this little man so much.

We even flew a kite from the pontoon boat which was, well, interesting.

 We did have a rainy day, so we went to George Young Golf Course to swim.  The kids loved it!

 No trip to the cottage is complete without a trip for ice cream.

 These 3 loved the ice cream trip.

 Brecken has stolen my heart. It was so amazing to have him at the cottage with us this year.
