November

With the weather getting colder, we had more time indoors this month. We had a castle building day.

Chesney memorized the 46 books of the Old Testament and recited them during mass.
And then she received a new bible. So proud of this girl!
Crazy Crew.
All the boys.
Chesney got a new costume for her Jailhouse Rock dance this year.
One of the first snowfalls of the year.
Painting some decorations for our at home Thanksgiving.
I had helpers to make French Silk and Lemon Meringue pie.
After we celebrated Thanksgiving, we moved right into making Christmas cookies.

We had virtual schooling for a week after Thanksgiving.  Mackston was working on lining up his letters.
And this is his sight word wall, next to his bed.

Hockey Time

November was the start of hockey games. Like everything, hockey was different this year. For practice, one parent can take their child in, help them put on skates and then had to leave the rink.  They came back at the end of practice to help remove skates and leave.  Games were live on YouTube at first with no spectators but after a few weeks, 2 spectators per family were allowed. Thankfully, Daddy has coached both Brecken and Mackston's teams which means a big commitment but also that the boy's always have a parent with them.

I'm so glad that hockey is back. I just love watching these boys on the ice.

Halloween 2020

Halloween this year was much different due to Covid 19. We spent the month doing some of the normal Halloween type activities, but we decided to do a pizza party and movie on Halloween night instead of going out trick or treating or handing out candy.

We had some sweet friends drop off treats throughout the month.
And we started a new tradition called Booing!  We made 20 buckets filled with candy, glow sticks and toys and then picked a bunch of friends we wanted to Boo. We loaded the buckets into the car and headed out to Boo people. The kids ran up to each house, dropped a bucket of goodies and ran back to the car as fast as they could.  I never imagined the kids would have so much fun.  They were giggling so loud and laughing non-stop. We ended up making more buckets to Boo more people in the following weeks because the kids had so much fun.
There was plenty of candy to be had.
Chesney got to dress up for dance.  She decided to be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.
Crew helped clean out the pumpkins.
On Halloween day we made some monster brownies for dessert.
We found a way to make Halloween fun this year but are looking forward to a more normal Halloween next year (hopefully).
