Happy 1st Birthday Brecken

Today we celebrate one amazing little man!  It seems not all that long ago that we were welcoming him into our family.

Thanks for taking us on this wild ride with you and showing us just what little boys are made of.  You are nothing short of a miracle buddy.
Happy 1st birthday Brecken!  We love you so very much!

Brecken {52 Weeks Old}

Wow, we are there, the eve of Brecken's birthday. I'm not sure where the time went, but I can tell you it has been an absolute blast!  We have celebrated a lot of milestone, but I'm not sure I'm ready to celebrate a 1st birthday.
Little boys are so amazing.  Brecken is so snuggly and lovable.  He may be busy and into everything, but he always comes back for snuggles.
I can honestly say that I'm not sure if our life would have been complete without a little boy to love on every single day.
Brecken, you have been more than a blessing in our lives.  We love more than you will ever know. Happy last day of zero sweet Brecken!

Brecken {6th Tooth}

Brecken got his 6th tooth today, his left lateral upper incisor.  He likes to bite which may or may not be related to this tooth coming in.

Christmas Celebrations

We had our first Christmas celebration with the Dahl side of the family on Saturday, December 21. The kids were beyond spoiled rotten.
Brecken & Chesney with their cousins Allie & Ryan.  Cousin Emma was there too but wasn't having any of this picture taking business.
Our little loves in their Christmas outfits.
They had so much fun opening presents.

They got so many nice gifts from Grandma and Grandpa and their Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Our Christmas with the Schneider side was on January 4 at Grampy & Grammy's new house.  It was so nice to get all the cousins together.  We arrived a few days early, so we got to spend some time with Bradyn and Brynna.
 We did a little sledding.

I had to join in on the sledding fun (which turned out to be a blast).
And we spent lots of time playing Mario on the Wii.
Brecken decided he was going to get in on the gaming too.
We played some of the games we had as kids including Don't Wake Daddy.

On Saturday, everyone came over to open gifts and spend time together.  Garrett, Chesney & Brynna were ready to get started.

I sure do love these two.
Chesney loved her new art set.

We finally got to meet our new niece, Elsa.  I forgot to get a close up picture of her, but she is in the pink blanket in the back.  I got lots of snuggling time with her.  She was such a sweetie!
Brecken & Garrett playing together with the tractor...too cute!
Our holiday celebrations were so amazing.  Thanks to our families for making Christmas so special.

Cottage 2013

We spent nearly a week at the cottage in upper Michigan following Christmas.  The first few days were warm, so we spent lots of time outside.  Get ready for picture overload.

 Family sled ride.

 Emma and Uncle Jon sledding.
Grandma and Chesney made a nice big path on the ice.
Poor Brecken is a victim of hand-me-down snowsuits.

Chesney tried to ice skate which did not turn out well.  Maybe next year or possibly on smoother ice with skates her size.

These 3 spent a lot of time together both inside and out.
We built a giant Mickey Mouse snowman.

And a killer snowfort.  Thanks to some sleet, this thing was rock solid.

Chesney took a ride on Allie's back.
We made a visit to Great Grandma Dahl.

I think she was happy to see her great grandbabies.
Back at the cottage, Ryan was the most excited to ride the snowmobile.  But Chesney and Allie did get to sneak in a ride with Jeremy.

On the coldest days, we made gingerbread houses.  Which turned out to be mostly eating candy.

Either way, it was fun and they turned out cute.

We went swimming at a nearby golf clubhouse as well but didn't take any pictures. And we had an indoor snowball fight.  This may have been one of the highlights of the trip.

The kids had a blast. (By the way, I have no idea why my kids are naked and all the other kids have clothes on).

 Matching PJs!

Jessie helped the kids may Gak.

Being at the cottage was a great way to end 2013 and begin 2014.
