Happy Valentine's Day

We have had such a fun-filled Valentine's Day at our house.  Holidays are so much more fun when you have a little one who is so excited!  We started the day with heart shaped pancakes for breakfast.
 And added some pink sprinkles.
Chesney must have like them because she ate 3 pancakes.
Then we painted!  Chesney was having so much fun asking for all the colors.  Can you tell she loves to paint!?!

After a quick run to the grocery store, we made Valentine cookies.

 Chesney was quite the helper.

Chesney had a cookie for dessert (after lunch), and then we took a few cookies and a valentine out to Great Grandpa.
This is what her cookie looked like after she "ate" it.
After nap, we got dinner ready, chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and bread.  Then it was time to open her Valentine basket.

She got a new cup and you would think it was the best thing ever.  She was ran with it and said "I got a Valentine cup everybody."  Then she was hugging the cup.

Then mommy and daddy opened cards.  But the best thing we have this Valentine's Day is each other and our precious little miracle.

Grandma and Grandpa stopped by with a Valentine for mommy and daddy.  Chesney painted this picture and somehow painted a heart into it.  We are definitely going to frame this one.
Chesney got a book from Grandma and Grandpa and then gave them a card (grammy and grampy, your card is in the mail).

Hoping that everyone's Valentine's Day was as wonderful as ours was.

February = Pink

Since it's February, also known as the month of PINK, Chesney has been wearing as much pink as possible.

It really isn't that hard since the majority of her wardrobe is pink.  But it makes me smile to pick out all pink for days on end.

Last night she was "shopping".  She was pushing her shopping cart is two different heels.  My little diva is a lot like her mommy.

Chensey's 15th Tooth and a Missing Tooth

Chesney's left upper canine is working its way through.  She has almost a full set of teeth in the front now.

The one exception, she is missing her right upper lateral incisor.  I took her to the dentist a couple weeks ago because it appeared that tooth was missing and not coming in.  The dentist agreed that the tooth was likely missing, at least in its baby form.  She offered an x-ray to look for the adult tooth but we declined because, well it just doesn't really matter (and she doesn't need the radiation).  So she is one tooth shy of a full set but cuter without it!

Valentines Day Dress

I am so loving sewing lately, but I am especially loving my newest creation.  Maybe it's the little cutie that wears it that makes me love it so much though!

I'm so lucky to have such a little sweetie to sew for!

Sweet Tooth

For some crazy reason, Chesney has been asking for cupcakes A LOT lately (this is a girl after my own heart!).  So one night, we made cupcakes.

I think it's safe to say she liked them!

Waterpark Vacation - 1st Family Vacation

We took our first family trip with Chesney this past Thursday and Friday.  We arrived at the Kalahari Hotel in Wisconsin Dells on Thursday night.  Somehow we got a huge room that actually had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a separate living room.  And the view from our room was the theme park.  Chesney loved watching the "go-getter cars" (AKA the go-carts).  Ignore the drenched hair in the picture below, we had just finished swimming.
We ordered pizza on Thursday night and let Chesney stay up late to eat with us.  She didn't get to bed until after 9.  But this kid has an internal clock like no other, she was up at 6:10am and ready to go.  So we got dressed and went to Perkins for some breakfast.
After breakfast, we hit the water park again.  We played in the area that has both little kid and bigger kids stuff for a while.  We got to go on some slides together and play in the water.

And she bounced in the coconut swings.

She loved playing in the water fountains.
Then we found an area with little kid slides.  This area was amazing.  There were at least 12 slides in this area and all without a weight limit so mom or dad can slide with their little one.  There was even a little kids lazy river!

Chesney did get a little tired by early afternoon, so we packed up and went across the street to the outlet mall.  She fell asleep in the stroller soon after we got there and napped for about 30-45 minutes.  When she woke up, she asked right away to go back to the water park.  We couldn't turn down an opportunity for more fun with this sweetie, so we headed back.

Enjoying the lazy river.  We finally left the water park around 4, just in time to decorate a cookie at the hotel.  Chesney napped most of the way home.
I think it's safe to say Chesney had a great time.  And we had so much fun with her.  We will certainly be taking more family vacations like this.
