Chesney's 12th Tooth

It has been about 3 months since Chesney has gotten a new tooth, but she now has her first canine.  Her lower right canine is coming in.  We didn't see this one coming as she has been very happy.

Christmas Decorations

I love Christmas and all the decorations that come with it.  Here is a little tour of our Christmas decor.

I love our Christmas stockings.  We didn't have them in time for Christmas last year, so it was so great to see them all up this year.

Chesney has her own little tree in her room. She loves having us turn it on.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This has to be my favorite time of year.  So many pretty lights, holiday music, and this year, one excited girl!

My employer has a holiday party every year for the employees children.  We didn't go last year, but we decided to take Chesney to see Santa this year.

They had reindeer, a snowman, and lots of elves.  Each of the kids get a present and all the presents are very nice.  Chesney got a set of Lego Duplo blocks this year.
She did sit on Santa's lap and did much better than expected.  When she first sat down she said "I want Mommy".
But then he pulled out some candy, and she was happy as can be.
We have had so much fun teaching Chesney about the Holidays.  She understands that stockings are for your feet but isn't quite sure why we hang them on the mantel.  This pair of stockings is being donating, but she decided to use them one last time.

Some of the stuff this girl comes up with just amazes us!

We are looking forward to a few more weeks of Holiday fun with this sweet girl.

Family Time

Chesney is so full of energy right now!  She loves to spend time with us and especially loves it when we chase her.  She yells "mommy chase you" when she runs around the house.

We had to bring this car in the house one day after she spotted it in the garage and insisted on riding in it.  She loves to be pushed in this and loves even more when we push it while we chase her.
And for some reason, she loves to hide under her elephant chair.  She has really been in to hide and seek lately and this is a favorite spot to hide.
This is a picture from chasing around the kitchen the other night.  I was pushing the car, chasing Chesney who was pushing the shopping cart.  She told daddy "get the vacuum".  Somehow he got stuck pushing the toddler size vacuum in the chase game.  She enjoyed it so much that she was belly laughing.
We love to see this girl happy, and we are loving her energy these days.  All the running makes for one tired girl at night.  The best part of bedtime is reading books together before bed.  She is really loving the Little Critter books.  There is no better way to end the day, than with a smile from this little girl and a "wove you" after you tuck her in.

God Gave Me You

I rarely post about my husband because a certain other princess usually steals the spot-light.  But I have the most wonderful husband in the world.
He always stands by me, picks me up when I'm down, and makes me laugh until my sides hurt.
And someone else is smitten with this guy too!  As she should be, because he is a great daddy!

There is a relatively new song by Blake Shelton called God Gave Me You, and it makes me think of Charlie every time.  If you haven't heard it, you should.

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it’s true
God gave me you, gave me you.
He gave me you.
I'm so thankful that God gave me you, Charlie!  I love you so much (even if you don't get to be the star of the blog on a regular basis).

Thanksgiving 2011

We spent Turkey Day with Grammy & Grampy (and lots of other great people too).  We went to my Aunt Karen's house which is always a good time with great company!

My Uncle Dave owns lots of tractors and combines (life size and toy size).  Little miss Chesney was in heaven!
Grampy took Chesney and I for a ride in one of Uncle Dave's tractors.  Little miss had a BIG smile!

And this is how you Black Friday pre-game.  All the ladies reading the fliers.
After our night of Black Friday shopping, we spent Friday afternoon on the search for the perfect tree for Grammy & Grampy's house.  We went to an amazing tree farm with a live nativity crew and Santa.

Then we took the tractor ride to search for the tree.

 Searching...

 The "perfect tree".

 Grampy cutting the tree down.
 Dragging the tree in.

Hot chocolate, popcorn, and apple cider to warm up after the tree find.
We spent the rest of the weekend relaxing with the family.  Chesney got to help feed Garret.  He was fun until he decided he didn't want to play with the toys.
So much to be thankful for this year, especially our little girl and wonderful families.
