December fun

We had a few extra fun activities this month including a Nutcracker performance at dance for Chesney. The boys even had a chance to go up and learn some of the dance with her.
The kids had Christmas parties on their last day of school and Brecken and Mackston were in charge of cupcakes for their classrooms.
Mackston's 4K class.

Brecken's 1st grade class.
On Christmas Eve we had a North Pole party to help send Jolly off to the North Pole until next Christmas.

And in the evening the kids got treats ready for Santa and his reindeer.

This time of year has so much magic which brings lots of fun and smiles.

Christmas Sing 2019

The kids had their afternoon and evening performances of their Christmas program today.  Mackston barely sang at the afternoon performance and when he walked into his classroom in the evening to sit with his class before the performance he looked at me and said "I hate this." But he got on the stage and did a little singing...maybe.

Brecken sang like any typical boy.  He wasn't super into it, but he did his part.

Chesney had a speaking part to lead her grade and a small group portion.  She loves to sing and really enjoys these performances. And as a bonus, she gets to wear a fancy dress.  That's about as good as it gets for that girl.

It was an overall success and so much fun to watch.

Hockey Weekend

This weekend was packed with lots of hockey action.
Brecken had a tournament in Stoughton bright and early on Saturday. And then we were back in Stoughton Sunday afternoon for a game.

Brecken's game got over just in time for use to catch cousin Ryan's hockey team take first place at a tournament.

December is Here

December has been a busy month but also full of lots of fun.
One of Chesney's dance competition costumes arrive.  Lots of sparkle on this one.
This is what happens when you take Mackston shopping.  He insists on photos.
 These boys!
Mackston helped decorate one of the trees.

Daddy and the boys started building a fort in the playroom.
Our elf, Jolly, was up to some funny business.

We walked with our school in the Jolly Jingle parade.

The boys are putting the new fort to good use.
The boys are really big helpers with baking. They love to be taste testers.
We are looking forward to lots of time with family in the coming weeks.

Battle of the Books {Chesney}

Chesney participated in Battle of the Books this year with 3 classmates.  Her team took 2nd overall at her school and 1st for her grade.  At the city wide tournament her team took 2nd overall.  We are are so proud of her and her team!

We celebrated with ice cream sundaes.  Thanks to Grandpa for staying with the boys while we (and Grandma) went to cheer Chesney on.
