Daddy Daughter Dance

Habitat for Humanity had it's yearly Daddy Daughter Dance fundraiser Friday night, and I think I had the most excited girl to go.  Chesney loves to dress up, loves dances and loves her Daddy.  She was so excited to get a new pair of heels to wear.

Chesney had such a good time at the dance. Chesney's best buddy from school, Kendall, was there too.  When Chesney got home she told me that someone stepped on Kendall's foot while they were dancing so they had to sit down.  And then Chesney looked at me all serious and said "It was her right foot Mommy, and that's her best foot."  I mean, clearly that was probably a night ender.  So Chesney had to get Kendall some grapes so that she didn't have to hop to the snack table.  What are best friends for!?!  Daddy said she and her friend spent most of the night eating snacks (sounds like Chesney).

I'm so glad that she and her daddy had a great time.

Bumpdate Baby #4 {35 Weeks}

We are weeks away from adding another baby to this house and it is a little hard to imagine.  Part of me is so excited to meet him and part of me is sad that this pregnancy is going to end. It would be helpful if we could come up with a name for this little boy though.

  • How Far Along: 35 Weeks
  • Maternity Clothes: I have one lonely pair of maternity jeans and 3 work dresses.
  • Sleep: Up multiple times at night to go to the bathroom. Random contractions, mostly in the evening/night.
  • Cravings: Peanut butter toast, chocolate, fruit and granola
  • Anything making you queasy or sick? I don't like the smell of deodorant, greasy food sometime.
  • Best moment this week: Spending lots of time with the big kids.
  • What I miss most: fitting in my clothes
  • Symptoms: Sensitivity to smell which is pretty mild.  Heartburn. Low back pain. Contractions.
  • What I'm looking forward to: Getting all of the baby gear out and washing the tiny clothes.
  • Movement: He moves all the time, especially at night.

    Waiting for Spring

    We are keeping busy while waiting for the warm weather to return. A new house is being built down the street which means lots of equipment for the boys to check out.
    This little girl loves her baby brother.
    Snow returned last week in very small amounts and the boys went crazy.
     There was sledding and snow mowing and digging.

     These two get along so well some times, and then they have their moments where they fight. But these are definitely my favorite moments.

     Brecken asked to make Playdoh one day so we did.
     And then we worked on some letters.

    And Miss Chesney is a total book worm these days.  She loves reading Junie B. Jones and Magic Tree House books. She even asks to leave her light on at night so she can read for a little while.

    Happy Birthday Daddy

    We celebrated a very special 35th birthday for my hubby on March 1st.
     It was a work day so the celebrating had to wait until after work.  Grandpa and Grandma made spaghetti and then we had some ice cream cake.

     Who wants cake?  Of course this guy wants cake, he eats everything and anything.
     Oh these 4, I love them so much.
    Happy birthday Daddy!  You are very loved!

    Daddy Daughter Girl Scout Party

    Chesney had a Daddy Daughter party for Girl Scouts at the end of January with a Hawaiian theme.
    My little Hawaiian babe.

    When they got back the synopsis I got was "She had a lot of fun and ate a lot of candy".

    Bumpdate Baby #4 {34 Weeks}

    These weeks are moving very quickly now and we will soon be meeting our little boy. I had an appointment this week and my belly hadn't grown from the appointment 2 weeks prior. I told her that her measuring tape may say it hasn't grown but my winter jacket says it has grown.  It is not  uncommon for me to measure small, but the obstetrician is going to do an ultrasound at my next visit.  My fluid levels were low with Mackston, so we will make sure that isn't an issue this time around.

    Mackston {21 Months Old}

    We are closing in on 2 years way too quickly, but for some reason Mackston seems so much older this month.  I'm blaming it on a haircut I gave him, but he has just lost all his baby features.

    Here's what he's been up to the last month...
    Fixing and more fixing.

    Bowling fun.
    Picnic lunches outside in February.

    Your 21 month stats:
    • Weight:  26 lbs
    • Length: 34 inches
    • Clothes: You are wearing 18-24 clothes and 24 month pjs.
    • Shoes: You wear size 5 shoes
    • Diapers: You wear cloth diapers day and night.
    • Food: Whole milk and water.  You eat everything but love salsa, salad, salami, noodles, cereal, oatmeal. You seem to have a sweet tooth as I found you in the closet with a sucker the other day.
    • Development: You sing songs all the time.  You seem to understand so much of what we are saying and can answer questions quickly.
    • Words: You are a little chatter box and repeat anything we say.
    • Teeth: You have 16 teeth.
    • Sleep:  You go to bed around 7:30 pm and sleep until I wake you up to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  On the days I'm off, you sleep until 7:30 when I wake you up to take Chesney to school.  You take a 1-2 hour nap daily in the afternoon.
    • What I love about you: You are full of energy and joy.  You skip instead of walk a lot (I think because you are so happy).
