Dupree Dance

Chesney competed in her first competition of the season and participated in the dance convention over the weekend. It was a long but fun weekend of dance.

 Dinner the first night with two teammates and their moms.

Chesney's big sister Grace was so sweet and brought her a basket of goodies with a letter wishing her good luck this season.

 

 Saturday morning was dance classes from 7:45 to 12:45.  Then the afternoon was getting ready to perform with a performance at 6:00.

 Chesney's big sister from last year, Emma.  She always been Chesney's biggest cheerleader.

 Their performance was amazing and earned them a double platinum score and 2nd place overall!  That's a pretty big deal since they only started this dance number 2 months ago.  Many of the teams used dances from last season for the competition.

 Sunday was classes from 7:45 to 2:30 and included a parent and me class.

 

 We learned a dance for "Monster Mash".  I give this girl some mad props.  Dancing is hard work!

 

 Dupree was a blast, and we couldn't be more proud of Chesney and her team. 

Dance Team Party

We had such an amazing time at the Veracity Dance Project: The Company Pig Picken' 2019.  There were tons of activities for the kids including a questival for the dance team where they went on missions around town.

Callie's (one of the instructors) son, Pim, was found walking around with a bag of chips at one point but stopped to share with Crew. 

 

 The evening ended with a candlelit ceremony and the girls finding out who their big/little sisters on the team would be.

 To say we are excited for the dance year to come would be an understatement.

Dance Nationals

We just returned from dance nationals in San Antonio, TX.  The trip was a blast, and it was so fun to watch Chesney on stage.

 All loaded up and ready to fly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We did a lot of swimming when we weren't at dance.

 

 Someone needed a snack but was also a little over tired.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Dance day 1.  The boys made it over for her dance and then went back to the hotel to swim. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Chesney's dance made it to the finals. We were all excited to cheer her and her team on.  They ended up in 6th place overall out of 50+ dances.  

 

 

 

Texas was hot but was such a fun adventure.
