Chicago

We surprised the kids with a trip to Chicago last Sunday.  We hit the road at 7:15 am to make it to the train station by 8:30.

 They were so excited to see we were taking a train, even though they didn't know where we were headed.

 

 

 When we arrived in Chicago, we walked to Daddy's work office.

 And then we headed to the American Girl store.  Chesney was thrilled.  She was so excited to pick out her first American Girl doll and some accessories.  She even got her doll's ears pierced while we were there. Then we went to the Lego store to find Brecken a new toy.

Meanwhile, we received a text from Grandma and Grandpa (who were watching Mackston). 

She sent the picture below with a text asking if this meant that Mackston was done with lunch.  He's such a silly dude.  He had lots of fun helping Grandpa build a fence while we were in Chicago.

We had a great time taking the kid's on a surprise get away.

Summer Fun

I have a lot of catch up to do for the past few weeks.

 Chesney loves to carry her baby brother.

 Chesney took a cooking workshop.  She had fun preparing the meals and they taste amazing!

 We have been to the park way too many times to count in the past 2 weeks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 T-ball every Tuesday and Thursday with Brecken.

 Brecken and Chesney had a sleep over with Grandpa and Grandma.  They got to go mini golfing where Chesney got a hole in one.

 

 

 When you pour syrup on the table, you just mop it up with your pancakes.  Mackston didn't want to waste a drop.

Crew {11 Weeks Old}

Crew hit 11 weeks old. He loves to "talk" and smile, especially with his brothers and sister.

Crew {10 Weeks Old}

We are in the double digits of weeks which is a big sad face for this mama.  My little man is growing way too quickly, and it's almost time for me to head back to work.

Poor Crew picked up a cold that his brothers and sister have so he's needing extra snuggles.  Hoping this passes soon so he's feeling well again!  Happy 10 weeks Crew!

Crew {2 Months Old}

2 months ago this handsome man came into our lives.  And he has been such a sweet baby.

Here's what you have been up to over the past month.

• Length: 23.5 inches (60th percentile)
• Clothes: You are wearing 0-3 month clothes but your sleepers are getting a little short.
• Shoes: We have not put shoes on you yet.
• Diapers: You wear cloth diapers day and night. 
• Food: Just mommy milk.
• Development: You love to coo and smile.  You try to hold conversations with cooing.
• Sleep:  You wake up once at night, usually around 2 am and then sleep until 5:30 or 6 am.  You nap on and off throughout the day. You sleep best on your tummy.
• What I love about you: You are still a pretty big deal around here.  Everyone loves to talk to you and hold you.  Mackston loves to give you kisses.
