Disney 2013: Part 1

We were fortunate enough to go to Florida again this year for a medical conference and lots of fun. It was such an amazing week of family time.  We left home around 7:30 am Saturday morning.  These two were ready to fly.  Brecken only slept for about 20 minutes.  He then wiggled the remainder of the trip.  Chesney kept busy most of the time with books and the iPad.

 We then hopped a bus to the hotel.  Someone was tired out from staying awake for most of the flight.

And the other was just ready to be there.

 

 We arrived at the hotel and found we had an amazing lake front room with a view of the Magic Kingdom.

 

We wasted no time jumping into fun.  Except of course for the kids to take a quick nap, but then we were off to the Magic Kingdom.

 

 So happy to be back to this magical place.

 Chesney is really into the princesses now, so we made our way to Princess Hall to meet some princesses first thing.

 First up was Snow White.  Chesney was so excited to see princesses that she kept giggling.

 

 She met her favorite princess, Rapunzel, second.

 

 

 Can you tell how much she likes Rapunzel?!?

 The castle from Beauty and the Beast is new since last year.

 So is the Little Mermaid ride and Grotto (where you meet her).  We were able to go on the ride the first night there (the first of probably 4 times we went on that ride).

 We ended the night with the Electrical Parade before heading back for bed.

Day 2

On the second day, we went back to Magic Kingdom.  We bought Chesney an autograph book before we went to the park.  Once again, we started the visit with the princesses.

 Cinderella twirled Chesney around and was so sweet to her.

 

 

 

 Sleeping Beauty was next and we had to get a picture of our little sleeper, Brecken, with Aurora. 

 Ariel was the next princess for the day.  She asked Chesney how old she was to which Chesney replied "About 3".  That made Ariel giggle a little.  She had a more firm answer for her next question.  Ariel asked what she liked to do for fun.  Chesney told her she liked to swim.  Of course Ariel was digging that answer.

 

 We took a break from the princesses to visit some other characters including Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse.

 

 

 

 

 

 We spotted the stepsisters from Cinderella.  They were riding the carousel.

We went back to the hotel for a swim in the pool.  Brecken loved having an open space to crawl.

 

 

 We went back to the park in the afternoon, after naps, for some rides. On the way through the park we had to check out Rapunzel's tower. Chesney would have climbed that tower if it was an option.

 We headed back to the hotel for a pizza party by the pool.  The hotel made excellent pizza.  Let's just say we had at least 3 pizza parties during our trip.

 I think Chesney liked it.

 We also got to make smores on the beach that night.

 Another big hit with Chesney.

 After all the eating, she spent some time playing in the sand and water before we headed back to our room.

 My little snuggle bug enjoyed the pool time.

 This was the view from our hotel room at night.  The purple castle in the back is the Magic Kingdom castle.  We had a great view of fireworks.

 And each night, there was an electric water pageant in the water in front of our room.
