Brecken - 2 Weeks Old

My little boy is 2 weeks old.  He is still the easiest baby (knock on wood,  knock on wood if you're reading this as well)!  Brecken sleeps for 3-4 hour blocks at night and gets up only once or twice then goes right back to sleep.  He loves to nap on his momma during the day and trust me, I love the snuggle time and take advantage of it as much as I can.

Brecken's First Walk

Today was rainy but a high of 61, so we slipped out between rain showers for a quick walk.  It was absolutely gorgeous out; the perfect day for a walk with my little loves.

Tummy Time

Brecken has been working on his neck strength with tummy time.

 Working so hard!

 He had an assistant too.

 And all that tummy time wore Brecken out.

Big Sister Chesney

Chesney has adjusted so well to being a big sister.  She absolutely loves her little brother.  Here is how she has been keeping herself busy...

 She did some coloring and puzzles at the hospital (thanks to Emily for the great gifts!)

 She has been playing dolls (with Brecken and her dolls).

 

 She has been hanging out with Brecken.

 

 Playing princess in the castle.

 

 Taking super bubbly baths.

 Loving on her little brother.

 Hanging out with the neighbors.

 Playing with paints (the clean way).

 

 Learning to drink using licorice as a straw.

 Spending lots of time with Daddy.

 Daddy has been playing lots of dress up including painting nails and combing hair.

  I think my little girl is loving her extra time at home and having lots of fun.

Brecken's Nursery

I love how Brecken's nursery turned out.  It has no theme except for a color combination of an aqua blue, brown/grey, green and orange.

 I made the curtains and crib skirt for the room and found a lot of the decorations on Etsy.

 

 

 Such a warm and cozy place for our little man.

Brecken - 1 Week Old

Holy moly...my little boy is one week old.  In all honesty, I had a melt down last night at the dinner table because just talking about him being one week old (tears and all).  The snugly newborn stage is my favorite, and I never want it to end.  

At one week, Brecken isn't hitting too many milestones.  He is staying awake more hours each day.  He is sleeping for 3-3.5 hour blocks at night and goes right to sleep after eating.  He usually wakes up at 1am, 4am and 7am.  

Brecken is such an easy baby!  He seems to eat and sleep and cry only if he needs something.  At one week though, he has completely stole our hearts!

 

 Big sister had to jump in for pictures too.

Happy 1 week Brecken!  We love you like crazy!

Brecken's First Bath

Brecken had his first bath on January 17.

 

 

  I think it's safe to say he didn't love it.

Brecken's First Days

We came home from the hospital on January 16 and have been busy loving our new boy and his busy big sister.
