Fall Clean Up

Sunday our little lady helped clean up pine needles and leaves in the yard.

And although there are no pictures of this, she did a lot of Gatorade drinking and supervising too!

Baby #2 - 28 Weeks

  • How far along: 28 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures about 15 inches — about the size of a eggplant — and weighs over 2 pounds
  • Total Weight Gain: 18 pounds
  • Maternity Clothes: Bella Band with my jeans and dresses to work.  I still have one lonely pair of of my regular pants that fit (and button still too). Maternity pants when I am going to be sitting for a while.
  • Gender: We are having a BOY!
  • Sleep: Waking up to go to the bathroom every 3 hours.
  • Cravings: Chocolate and anything sweet.
  • Anything making you queasy or sick?  Powder scented stuff (lotion, deodorant) and any strong scents.
  • Best moment this week: Chesney felt the baby kick on October 16.  She was so excited!  We made huge progress in the nursery this week. Daddy painted the nursery, and I made curtains.
  • What I miss most: Taking a shower without the smell of soap irritating me.
  • Symptoms: Nesting, hungry
  • What I'm looking forward to: Decorating the nursery
  • Movement: This little guy is moving a lot and likes to kick low which makes me feel like I have to go to the bathroom often.

Cooking Pal

Chesney is quite the helper in the kitchen.  Ignore the fact that she is wearing her pajamas in all the pictures (why not be comfy when you cook!?!).
Making oatmeal caramel butterscotch chip cookies over the weekend.  Yes they taste as good as they sound!

She is also my official taste tester.
On Tuesday, we canned tomato juice.  She is a great little stirring partner.

I have to say, cooking is so much more fun with this little cutie helping out.

Disney Vacation - Part 3

Day 6 of our vacation was a lot of fun.  Magic Kingdom opened an hour early for resort guests, so we took full advantage of that time and hit lots of rides.  They having an opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom with singing and characters.

We went on a lot of rides including the carousel, Dumbo, Brain-stormer Roller coaster,  Pirates of the Caribbean and Aladdin.  Since it was so early, we didn't have to wait for any of the rides.

We went to visit Daisy and Minnie another time as well.

For breakfast, we went to the bakery and had a giant cinnamon roll, cheese danish, apple turnover, fruit and juice.  It was the most wonderful breakfast and virtually calorie free!
 Chesney sure loved it!

After the park, we went back to the hotel to swim.  Chesney had such a blast playing in the pool with her daddy.

My two loves were pretty tired and caught a quick nap after swimming.
Then we went back to Magic Kingdom for one last visit.  We went to see Mickey again, and Chesney was just as excited the second time around.

Chesney had a good time dancing with a street band.

Before we left the park, we went to the Confectionery for one last cupcake.

When we left the park, we went back to the hotel for dinner by the pool, swimming and a cupcake dessert.
Day 7 started early, at 4:00am (3:00am Wisconsin time), to catch our bus to the airport.  The plane ride home was pretty smooth, and we were back at our house by noonish.

We had such a blast at Disney with our little sweetie and can't wait to go back again.

Baby #2 - 27 Weeks

(someone wanted to be part of the picture this week)
  • How far along: 27 weeks
  • Size of baby: measures about 15 inches — about the size of a rutabaga — and weighs over 2 pounds
  • Total Weight Gain: 17 pounds
  • Maternity Clothes: Bella Band with my jeans and dresses to work
  • Gender: We are having a BOY!
  • Sleep: Waking up a few times each night.
  • Cravings: Chocolate and anything sweet.  My appetite is HUGE!
  • Anything making you queasy or sick?  Powder scented stuff (lotion, deodorant) and any strong scents.  Showering is not fun because of all the scented products.
  • Best moment this week: Enjoying a week at Disney with Chesney
  • What I miss most: Being able to pick Chesney up easily.
  • Symptoms: Starting to feel the nesting start, I am always hungry
  • What I'm looking forward to: Working on the nursery
  • Movement: Kicking up a storm. I can now feel him make large movements and feel his body parts in certain parts of my belly.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Today is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  A day to remember all those who have had pregnancy or infant loss.  May all of these families find peace.

Today we remember our 4 angels who got their wings before we could meet them.  We are especially thankful for our angel here on Earth, Chesney, and pray for safety over the son we will meet in a few short months.
Psalms 139:16 "..all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

Disney Vacation - Part 2

Day 4 was our Mickey and Friends breakfast at Animal Kingdom.  We had just enough time to go on Bug's Life ride before the breakfast.
She was very excited to see Donald and Daisy that morning.

Goofy was still too scary for her.  It may have been the fact that he was over 6 feet tall.
But Mickey was a big hit!
We went back to the hotel to swim after a Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.  And the lesson of the day came from that safari ride...I don't want to be an elephant.  Elephants are pregnant for nearly 24 months and have a 300 pound baby.  I wouldn't mind the 24 month preganany, but the 300 pound baby seems a little overwhelming.

Chesney took a nap when we got back to the hotel, and then we spent the evening at Magic Kingdom.
She got to see Daisy for the 2nd time that day but was most excited to finally meet Minnie.

We went on the Buzz Lightyear ride which some one was pretty serious about.

Our last stop of the night was the Confectionery.  We stopped on a whim and found the most amazing treats.

We let Chesney pick out a cupcake and a few other treats.
Seriously, everything tastes better at Disney. Or maybe it has something to do with the little cutie with us.

Day 5 we went to Disney Hollywood Studios in the morning.
We went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.  Chesney liked it but was a tad bit overwhelmed.

A little Singing in the Rain.

We went to the Disney Junior Live Stage show featuring Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Handy Manny and Little Einsteins.

Chesney had a lot of fun dancing and singing along.  This was one of her highlights of the trip.

We went back to the hotel to swim and cool off.

Our little lady was worn out after the morning and needed a nap.
After nap we went back to Magic Kingdom.  We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride and Dumbo.  Then Chesney hot, so we let her play in the water park at Magic Kingdom.  The pictures are evidence that she loved it!

We caught a train back to the main gate and headed back to the hotel to swim more.

Chesney had a little snack that night before bed.
