Mackston {12 Months Old}

Our little boy is one year old.  He is a walking, babbling, giggly little guy.
Here's what you have been up to in the past month.
 Lots of water fun.
 Celebrated Mother's Day.

  Brother love.
 Lots of walks.
Clown car.
 Snuggles with Mommy.

This guy has a unique way of carrying things around.
Garden helper.
 Sweet sleeping baby.
 Watching diggers.
 Slip and slide fun.
 Lots of swinging.

The cottage trip for Memorial Day included lots of work.  Sometimes it's noisy and ear protection is necessary.
Don't let this sweet picture fool you.  This was just before he threw my phone into the lake.  The good news is that it survived so I could share this picture.

Your 12 month stats:
  • Weight:  22 pounds (60 percentile)
  • Length: 31.5 inches(96 percentile)
  • Clothes: You are wearing 12-18 month clothes and 18 month pjs.
  • Shoes: You wear size 4 shoes
  • Diapers: You wear cloth diapers day and night.
  • Food: Mommy milk, water.  You still are the best eater in this house.  You eat pretty much anything we put in front of you. Meats are your favorite.
  • Development: You are pretty steady on your feet and can move across a room with good speed.  You love to try to make the sounds that we make. Anytime we say goodbye you have both arms flapping.
  • Words: Dada (February 20)
  • Teeth: You have 7 teeth, 4 upper and 3 lower.
  • Sleep:  You go to bed around 8 pm and sleep until I wake you up to take Chesney to school around 7 or 7:30.  You usually take one 2 hour nap daily and then a cat nap.
  • What I love about you: You are always content. You can make anything into a toy (usually you play with anything that isn't a toy). You are all smiles and give the best greeting when we are done with work.
Happy 12 months Mackston.  We love you!

Chesney's Farm Field Trip

Chesney's last week of school was full of lots of fun for her kindergarten class.  On her second to last day of school, she had a class trip to her teacher's farm, and I was beyond thrilled to go with her.  It wasn't your typical class trip.  This class trip included a lunch provided by the teacher in her own house.  It was the most amazing field trip I have ever been a part of.
The day started with a trip to a local farm to learn about bees and farm animals.

 The entire kindergarten class.
This girl is my everything!  I love that I get to go with her on so many field trips.
The next stop was her teacher's farm.  Her teacher's husband took us for a wagon ride to learn about the farm and to see some of the equipment.

Then Mrs. Arndt invited everyone into her home for lunch.  We realize this doesn't happen everywhere, and we are so blessed to have such an outstanding school that allows for such amazing gatherings.
Lunch was a hit with everyone.
Another picture of the Kindy class of 2016 with their two awesome teachers.
There could not have been a better way to round out the kindergarten year.

Sister Love

Now that Chesney can read, she loves picking up a book to read to either Brecken or Mackston.

She's just such an amazing sister.

Chesney {Last Day of Kindy}

Today was Chesney's last day as a kindergartner.  She's very excited for 1st grade, but she has told me a million times how much she is going to miss her teacher, Mrs. Arndt.  I too am going to miss her.
The last day of kindy is the perfect time for funny face pancakes.
The last day of school is a party at the park followed by a picnic back at school. The boys and I went over for the last day of fun.
Chesney and one of her best friends, Hannah.

 Kindy tug of war!
Chesney had the best teacher this year. Mrs. Arndt is as sweet as they come.  Not only is Chesney sad to be moving on from Mrs. Arndt, but we are too.  She is top notch!
We had a few surprises waiting at home including a new bouncy ball for everyone.
 And some water balloons.

Kindergarten has been a blast, and I can't believe it's over already.  But I'm so excited to soak up some summer fun with all 3 kiddos. And it's so nice to have Chesney back home with us all day long.
