New Floor

This past weekend was rainy so we decided to do a little house project. Our living room carpet has been fraying near the edge for quite some time and was ready to go. So this past weekend, we took out the carpet and put down wood floor. The room looks so much better. Thanks to Daddy for working so hard to get this done.

The finished product. I can't wait to get a rug and décor in the room. The curtains and rug have been ordered, and we are impatiently waiting. And I'm so happy to have this project out of the way before baby arrives.

Bumpdate Baby #4 {37 Weeks}

And just like that, we are full term. This pregnancy has gone so fast. I think being busy with the 3 other kids has left me in awe of how fast this went. We are so excited to add this little guy to our family.

How Far Along: 37 Weeks

Maternity Clothes: I have one lonely pair of maternity jeans, one skirt and 2 work dresses that fit.

Sleep: Up multiple times at night to go to the bathroom. Random contractions, mostly in the evening/night.

Cravings: Peanut butter toast, chocolate, fruit and granola

Anything making you queasy or sick? I don't like the smell of deodorant. I get heartburn from tomato foods and chocolate.

Best moment this week: Spending lots of time with the big kids. Getting the tiny clothes washed.

What I miss most: fitting in my clothes

Symptoms: Sensitivity to smell which is pretty mild. Heartburn. Low back pain. Contractions.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting all of the baby gear out and finally meeting this sweet boy.

Movement: He moves more at night and his movements hurt sometimes now that he is getting bigger.

Weeks in Review

A little catch up of what we have been up to lately...

Grampy and Grammy came to visit for Chesney's party. They spent lots of time playing and reading.

I volunteered in Chesney's classroom one day last week, and Brecken wanted to come with. He was so excited to be a part of Chesney's classroom for a little while.

One of Brecken's favorite games is Guess Who, and he's finally getting the hang of how to play it.

Saturday morning skating lessons.

Daddy was out of town for work over the weekend so Chesney got to stay up late to watch a show with me and have ice cream in bed.

Morning snuggles with these 3 cuties.

We made some puppy chow.

Sunday we built a fort and played lots of board games.

Happy 7th Birthday Chesney

Our little Chesney is 7 today. 7 years ago was one of the best days of my life and this girl has made every one of the days since just as amazing.

We started today with birthday pancakes. Actually we started with lots of birthday hugs and kisses and then moved on to pancakes.

You were so excited to bring a treat to school and celebrate your birthday with your classmates. You even got a birthday crown.

For dinner we went to Texas Roadhouse. You told me you loved it there because you "get to ride a donkey". You get to sit on a saddle for your birthday (not quite a donkey).

Then we went back home to open presents.

You loved your new mermaid tail. I can't wait for you to try it out in the pool this summer.

We finished the night with ice cream cake.

We had a great time celebrating youtoday!

Clothes: You wear size 6X or 7 clothes. You prefer to wear dresses but spend the majority of the time in your school uniform.

Shoes: You wear a size 2 shoe.

Food: You are very good about trying foods and eat a variety of food. You still love sweets.

Development: You are an excellent reader and are reading chapter books now. You love to read. You are good at spelling, adding and subtracting.

Sleep: You go to bed at about 7:30 or 8 every night and wake up somewhere between 6:00-6:30 am. You always read to us or read by yourself at bedtime.

Teeth: You have lost 3 teeth. You lost your first tooth on July 12, 2016. You swallowed that tooth while you were eating ice cream.

Your Favorite Things: You love to draw, read, play school and play with your babies.

What I love about you: You are the happiest little girl I know. You find so much joy in life and you love to spread your happiness. You have such a kind heart. You are a great helper with your brothers.
